Hey guys

I am looking for information on how i could possibly use a undockable ship for collateral.
i currently have a Erebus sitting on a holding char in a low sec pocket, i would like to use this for collat but unsure how.

when i first brought the ship i used a well known 3rd party to do the exchange so i would assume it would need to be something
along these lines, But does this mean the only players who could loan me some iskys would need a holding char also ?

The type of loan i would be looking for is approx 75% of the ships worth and im alittle weary on losing the 25% to some scam player who has the isk to lend and sees the deal as a easy way of getting a very cheap titan.

Or can i use a 3rd party to hold the ship until loans payed back.
any help in this matter would be awesome thanks

How long do you want the loan for?

The third party is going to have to tie up one of their Titan holding characters for that length of time. They may not be interested in doing this, or if they are willing to do it you may find the fee prohibitively expensive.

The only other option I can think of is for the the person providing the loan to hold the Erebus, hand over 75% of it's value to you and the remaining 25% of it's value to the 3rd party. This way they cannot take your Erebus for 75% of it's value and you cannot force them to buy your Erebus for 100% of it's value. But you may have to offer a little more interest to compensate for the complexity and opportunity costs involved in the arrangement.

What interest rate are you looking to pay?

It might be tricky to find someone who both has the isk to lend and has a free Titan holding character and who is willing to use up that character for a long time for just the interest on the loan when that in itself is a service valued at c. 100mil a day. I'm wondering whether you would be able to increase the pool of potential lenders by including your sitting character in the package and then following Bobby's advice above. Obviously, the character 'sales' would have to be nominally separate and overseen by the third party. Would be hellishly complex though so you might be best off just selling the titan and buying a new one down the line.

There are two types of EVE player:

those who believe there are two types of EVE player and those who do not.

interesting idea altho i have not even got as far as interest, My plan is to buy a more skilled titan char hence why i wos asking for iskys the amount of time needed with the loan would be a bigger head acke im looking around 2 months so i think using ship as collateral for a set interest would more or less kill any chance of me doing this easy.
