OP I get what your saying and what your trying to do with your idea, I just don't foresee the SP idea going anywhere.

As for the people bashing this guys idea, its an idea. High-Sec will never be 100% safe, the game isn't about to be broken, your ganking job isn't going anywhere, so stop crying like its going to happen. Most of you pretend that your some harda$$, than whine and cry when someone suggests an idea you don't like.
Then add more risk. CCP have provided the tools, it's time people started using them instead of asking for hand holding mechanics.

As far as the idea is concerned, it most definitely does suggest breaking the game and for what reason? Because Nerf Burger doesn't like suicide ganking. I hardly see why calling them out on such a bad idea constitutes us whining or crying. Although that is a rather ironic thing to say, when we consider the OP and it's contents.

Also if the idea had any merit, Nerf Burger wouldn't spend so much time name calling and avoiding answering pertinent questions.

High sec ganking is one of the safest things there is to do in PvP. Your threat isn't even from a player, its from Concord. You have to kill the other player before a NPC kills you.

The miner can't fit any DPS mods to be any harm to catalysts/tornados/talos so he just literally fits tank and sits there and hopes a NPC can kill you faster than you can kill him.

I really like how people say that suicide ganking has risks. Because it really doesn't. The literally only thing you need to be worried about is vigilante instalockers on stations or gates. And how often do you even see those? Suicide ganking doesn't have risks, it has drawbacks. The drawback is lower sec status. But the drawback doesn't stop you from suicide ganking. So there's no direct punishment for suicide ganking which is unfortunate.

there is. u just wrote it. and add to that certainty of ship loss.

just because gankers take that punishment into account when they gank doesnt mean it stops being a punishment. its just a punishment they've accounted for.

Actually, it does. A punishment is meant to deter. If you accept the cost that comes with the crime, then it's no longer a punishment, but a transaction.

But that's ultimately why these proposals to rein in ganking tend towards solutions that will kill it entirely.

it does deter ppl.

pleading guilty in RL does not turn ur jail time into a transaction.

If you were trying not to get caught? True. In Eve, since CONCORD is an inevitability, it is.

Reported OP for trolling.

You don't get to disqualify people from talking about it just because they disagree with you. Oh, and unless carebears have finally been disqualified from counting as real players, killing them is still "real PvP".

One of ours, ten of theirs.

Best Meltdown Ever.
