Logically buy a garmur to combat said gamur and drop another ship on top of him and pop it

Big smile

So like after 76 petitions I still dont have a logical normal answer.   Fly safe and fly true and use your headset on the Loo

Your Rifter will not tank select-able damage type perfectly applied 140 dps. Ever. I doubt your Ishkur can perma rep that either.

You also, apparently, fail to realize that it is literally impossible to escape this ship.

And no, interceptors do not perform like a Garmur. A crow is not even close; I've flown both.

I can put HG snakes, drugs and links on a condor and be 85% as awesome as that garmur is. I'll just have to orbit a bit closer.

If I were really having troubles with such a garmur, I'd probably get a mate in a maulus and see if the pilot also takes actual challenges that require more than 2 button-clicks. (would be honourable 2v2 then)

No, I never PVP. You got me.

Your video was nice. But your remark about perma-tanking a garmur with a rifter does indeed show you have not much solo pvp experience. I solod a 320 mio isk garmur in a 8 mio isk tristan, and I lost against a garmur in a harpy. A rifter cannot tank a garmur if the garmur is properly fitted. Perhaps you can make a video of proofing me wrong, it would give you more credibility than posting a video of you fighting against some highsec derp that doesn't really know what the definition of an assault frigate is.

Poe's Law. Learn it, live it.

I stated already I was kidding about the Rifter. It's like saying, "hell, my grandma drives better than you" whether she does or not. Same thing. Lighten up. And lol at a Goon talking about solo pvp experience. Every Goon I've fought solo in lowsec (one, in a Drake, with my Ishkur) has died a horrible horrible death.

Amusing. Come to blackrise this afternoon, I need new solo opponents. Also, since I have not had solo fights for a few days, I will reimbulse you the first 5 of your ships I blow to pieces. Do we have a deal ? Will be between Nenn, Aki, Hikk, Aivonen waiting for you starting 13:00 eve time. I can't wait to die that horrible death you are referring too but perhaps on your 6th or 7th attempt you will be lucky. As I said, you got nothing to lose, isk wise at least.

What's amusing is, you're so defensive (and rightly so) when I jump to conclusions about you, and yet fail to recognise when you do the same to others. I guess your own **** never stinks either, does it.

Link the fit?

How many of those things can it do simultaneously and for longer than a minute?

And considering it is linked, I bet I can name 2 ships of my own that will easily defeat it.

I have a very bad habit of not reading through the whole forum post, especially when a person posts something ridiculous, then some other guy corrects that person (that guy being right), then you giving him a come back by posting some video of fighting some highsec derp (again, it was a nice catch and all), but it proofs zero about your solo pvp skills, especially after the initial caldari mil guy being right. From that point on, I do not continue to read, as I don't care how you try to save yourself from that initial ridiculous remark, just as now you are trying to save yourself from my invitation to fight you on the battlefield. Whatever, let's continue talk via pixel weapons, at least you know where to find me and that is where I continue my talk.

You think I'm trying to prove something? How cute. No, I'm just demonstrating how assumptions make you stupid. There was nothing to save from my 'initial ridiculous remark' because so far, only two morons have taken it too seriously. That makes you an outlier. Who are you otherwise that I should care, or have to prove my solo PVP abilities to you? Anyone that knows me and matters knows what I'm capable of. I can dismiss any other opinion about my solo PVP abilities as a moronic assumption because you just don't know. To be honest, I prefer when people underestimate me.

As for your 'invitation', if we meet in game, we meet in game, and maybe we'll fight, depending on circumstances. I'm not in the business of arranging fights or falling for Goon traps though. But then again, I'm not the one with the epeen.

Sure you can do some crazy stuff with OGBs.

But at the end of the day, it's all about the metagame.

If somebody solo engages a Garmur without a good plan to catch him or counter him no matter the links, he's a moron.

Ergo, if you fly a linked Garmur you'll mostly kill morons.

But if you need a 150M pirate frig + a multi-billion booster alt (including training cost) + some other bling spent on drugs and/or pirate implants to kill solo morons... well, chances are you may be a moron too. Big smile

If OTOH you use the linked Garmur to fight 1v10, you're creating content for 10 fellow EVE-players. Good for you!

So pimped frig + griffin/maulus makes for solo pvp... I could be mixing you up with someone with a very similar name, quite likely. Anyhow, my sec status is back positive, give frigs, I'll fight you starting 1900 eve-time :)

I love my Garmur, then again, I use it in a PVE role, I want to see how far I can push it in terms of missions, DED sites and stuff like that.
So far, I am able to steamroll through class 1 level 4 combat sites(Meaning it can take out cruisers, and because of its' speed, they cannot hit it).

Looking forward to see how it does in a PVP role against people that can fight back(I refuse to attack miners)

I miss having ISK.

I'm ambivalent about nerfing OGBs. On the one hand people with money and extra accounts will still use expensive implants, drugs, falcon alts, rapier alts, neutral logi alts, etc. for "1v1."

On the other hand, small gangs probably won't risk bringing a paper thin expensive booster ship to their kiting gang while large blobs will be able to easily spare the pilot and reps/support to keep their booster alive and boosting their 250 man fleet. Another advantage for blobs. Yay.

Still, given CCP's track record for addressing "technical limitations" (see: POS overhaul), we probably won't see an OGB nerf for at least another 3 years.
