Well I've just received a less than helpful response to my support ticket regarding this issue.

Looks like CCP are fully content with blaming the issue on your ISP or others on your network. Apparently, in their eyes, the timing of this issue with the patch and the sheer number of those affected by it are merely just coincidence. Well in any case, if this problem persists, I'll likely be leaving this game as it has become unbearable to play with these frequent disconnects...

I also got the same unhelpful response to my support ticket. I play a subscription for a working game,and for helpful customer support when I need it,which CCP seems determined not to provide on this issue. If this continues I'll be cancelling my subscription,and advising others not to play EVE until this is fixed.

I am having this issue now as well, but it appears to affect all of my logged in accounts at the same time. I've been tabbed out when it happens, so not sure exactly when.

Indeed. I lodged a support ticket which they tried to tell me that my infrastructure was causing the problem and let's just ay they'd didn't like my response which I pointed out that this happening in only EVE,shortly after a patch,and all my other games are working fine,well the fact that this only happened recently and after a patch,makes me think that just maybe the patch is causing the problem,and CCP should offer some customer support on this,not try to say that I'm causing it.

I started having the same issue maybe 2-3 months back after returning to EVE after a long break. I thought it was my WiFi, but now it seems that the issue is much broader...

In my case it is not as bad as for many of you. I ONLY get kicked from the game once every one or two hours. I am mostly mining/hauling so nothing bad happened to me because of this issue yet. Although it is a pain in the arse to have to set up the fleets again, etc.

Too bad CCP does not seem to act proactively on this. I will definitely take this into consideration when they remind me of the need to prolong my subscription.

The last time it happened to me I was doing one of the harder lv4 missions,which is perfectly doable,if I'm not logged out at a critical moment,which I was. Logging back in I found my ships had 45% hull left,which since then,I've stopped doing anything of this nature,as the risk is,not worth the risks,if the bug happens at a critical time.

I have also started to develop this problem over the past few days. Contacted my ISP and they said everything is fine. I have tried changing the ports to EvE but still no joy.

I can't even play EVE anymore.

Re-installed windows twice
Re-installed EVE twice, from scratch
All drivers/software are latest version
Reset router to its defaults, opened ports...
Tried EVE on Linux just to be sure.

Every time after char selection, black screen - after 10 sec SOCKET CLOSED (2 windows). Don't tell me it is from my side please. My tracert finishes without error after 13 hops. Pingplotter is tracing good in the green zone. Ping always around 50ms.
I feel like I'm being trolled. Hard.
Never had this issue, all of the sudden, can't log into EVE. 5 days passed.

The socket closed message also happened to be about the same time, never had the problem before.

This issue has only just manifest on my PC since the last release.

It's like clockwork. If I sit in Station - 10 mins. If I'm doing an AFK courier run - 10 mins. I've been disconnected writing eve mails in station and Fitting ships in station.

If I'm at the keyboard doing PvP iroaming FW space I won't get the issue once in a 3 -4 hour session.

I thought it must have been some new feature to kick AFK pilots.

Can't play the game at all today,

Will try and warp to a station or stargate, get socket closed. Then when logging back in, will get socket closed again before my ship can even exit warp to where I originally was.

Really considering quitting and just playing wow again, would very rarely get disconnects on that so I'm not going to outright blame my ISP like CCP love to do.

yea i cant get more than 10 mins without a connection loss on this laptop. It happens wired and wireless. It isn't my internet connection as my crappy other laptop doesn't get booted, but i want to play it on my gaming laptop I spent a fortune on, not the crappy one I have lying around. It's wrong that peoples ISP`s are being blamed when in my case its clearly something else and all I'm being told is that its packet loss and my router (when it cant be).

It needs addressing

Hi,

I got now 3 times a socket closed.

First time ok socket closed can happen, logged back in 5-7 min later again socket closed.

I run 4 accounts on my notebook but only 1 of them got everytime socket closed.

When i write this im logged back in again, but i notice that eve react slowly on the commands that i give.

Examples:
- Switch targets
- Damage notifications in space go faster then the rats become red
- Could not log out when i did hit the quit Game button (happend by the thirt socket closed)



Note: My other 3 accounts dont have any problems, they work fine.

I have had about 20 socket closes today. Has been working perfectly until today now will get 2-3 per hour and is completely unplayable as it is. Very disappointed as really I cannot understand what is happening.

Same problem as above poster.

No problems until today. Not i'm having 20 sockets closed per hour.

The only difference was I installed sisi client yesterday and it wanted to fubar the icons for TQ as well, which was solved. On my end nothing else changed.

Will try other games.
