Is there an updated ship guide available? EVElopedia and the other links above are all badly outdated.

I'm making a slow return to the game after a long break, like 4 years long, and I know there have been many changes. I just downloaded the latest version of EFT and relearning how it works again. But over the course of my break, I kept this character active with plex'es and kept the training going. Now I have every thing Amar Sub-capital maxed skilled, most weapons also. But before I start flying the friendly skies of EVE again, I need to brush up on my equipment.

I haven't seen anything specific like you're talking about. There is a big lack of knowledge with some Eve pilots. This is proven by some of the terrible fits in lossmails. I would say one of the best resources is your corp mates.

If you have specific questions about a certain ship post a thread or even send me an Eve mail. I know some about highsec carebearing and small gang PVP. There are lots of knowledgeable players on the forums. There's also lots of well I can't say that word on the forums. You just have to sort through the trash to find the good stuff.

There really aren't any fitting guides any more. It might be helpful to go through skills that have been added (though if you've kept training you may be good there). Play with EFT, of course, and feel free to post your thoughts. It's no more brutal around here these days even if it's no kinder either.

I checked that page and it looks like I'm only missing one or 2 skills. Thanks

I also got to play with EVEMon this evening. It looks like it up to date but many ship classes are missing the BattleClinic loadouts, like it use to have years ago.

-snap-.

But I have.

Read the last few patchnotes from Crucible to Kronos. All the information you want is in there.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

I was just reading the DEV blogs, where can I find the previous patch notes? This is a great idea by the way, haven't thought of that.

Yeah EveHQ and EVEMon have a current issue with loading the BattleClinic loadouts, I'm sure their respective devs are working on it, but http://eve.battleclinic.com is still one of the best resources for ship fitting information.

EvE University's Ships Wiki has lots of information. Not all of it is up to date, and some of the fits listed are obsolete or just plain bad, but it's far more current than EvElopedia and much easier to navigate.

BC can be a starting point when you REALLY have no idea about fittings. But even then it's better to just ask around your corp/alliance or here (after using search button).

I love how people are always ready to diss Battleclinic yet never willing to show up there to give us the benefit of their superior fitting skills.

Like any forum BC is only as good as it's member base, and requires a bit of patience to work the search tool to find the good fits, but seriously if you think you can do better than the fits on Battleclinic please come and post your awesome fits, I can't wait to tear them apart :p
