In EvE since 2008, don't know what to do :)

Greetings fellow capsuleers,

I know I'm not the only one who finds hard to know what to do exactly in EvE Online, I know the possibilities are practically endless. Long story short I'd like to hear opinions, hints and/or pointing me in direction of some friendly corp.

I passed 10M SP mark recently. Got Abaddon BS fitted with some T2 modules (not weapons yet...) and doing L4 missions in High-sec space. I'm not sure what I should focus on, where my achievements lie (except bigger/better ships/modules/skills).
I believe the problem is caused because of lack of any solid corp/community/friends in EvE on my side. I tried to apply to some Czech corporations for "beginners" but when they saw I got orientation in UI, skills, ships etc. they didn't accept me. I had a lot of breaks, from weeks to months as I found myself bored because of doing missions over and over again.

I love EvE Online. I'd like to be a part of something bigger, be part of the community I keep hearing about all the time... but I'm not sure where to begin. :(

Cheers
Farr

1. Run incursions (you'll meet lots of people)
2. Take isk, buy shiny pvp ships
3. Go blow up people in said ships (you'll meet lots more people)
4. ???
5. Profit.

Go to recruitent section and find a nice corp, loads of new things to discrover & experiance in a new corp.

Personaly, when im down, when im sad and depressed; a good gank kill will cheer me up anytime!! PirateP

If relativity equals time plus momentum, what equals relativity, if the momentum is minus to the time?

humm if I were you I would try and join a small npc/0.0 corp, I wouldn't suggest joining a large alliance yet as you'll just be a single face in a crowd but there are plenty of small corps looking for 10mil sp plus players and to be honest you'll enjoy it much more than ever just running missions.

You will learn plenty especially small gang pvp plus you will still be able to rat/plex/explore to earn some cash.

I've been here since 2006 and the only thing I've done so far is level 4's and watch my SP go up.

I joined New Eden Research to try and make some money running a research POS, didn't do too badly at first but then TEH GOONS happened. But I made a few good friends there and they were enough to justify logging in every day, then most of them left Sad

In short, get friends. They're fun to talk to and you can mish/mine/kill with them! Like NPC followers but with brains.

Join the most intressant corp you can find and see if you like it.
If not try talking to people, make friends, open dorrs otherwise shut and if
an opertunity present itself you better warm up your mwd and overload that scrambler.

That's my two cents.

P.s. I had an 08 but took a break and now i'm younger... Magic.

I would suggest you sign up for some PvP classe such as those given by Agony Unleashed for example, you'll get a taste of what PvP is about and meet people. Who knows you may enjoy it and make some useful connections.

I suggest you do what all the other peasants in Eve do. Why? Because it is the ONLY thing an individual subscriber CAN do UNLESS he has a metagaming crew of at least several hundred loyal gamers to back him up in simoultaneous online game sessions.

What you, as an individual, are capable of in Eve is to join one of the many RMT Plantations in Zero to perform your duty as a Slave/Serf/Cannon-Fodder for the Ruling Elite (who pocket all the gain from this scam at your expense in terms of time and Eve resources). You are , of course, required to demonstrate your enthusiastic support for this form of (r a p e) by making yourself visibly present at a sufficient number of CTA's or you will be expelled from even this lowly existence in Zero.

There is a solution to this problem. (Actually there are several solutions that CCP could implement to solve this, but they aren't that creative, so they can't do it due to lack of talent.) Unfortunately, the one solution requires the same action that the ruling Elite in Zero used to dominate Eve in the first place, that being ORGANIZE A METAGAMING GROUP OF SEVERAL HUNDREDS, IF NOT THOUSANDS OF PLAYERS, and that is no small task.

So if you are asking what to do as an individual player of Eve, I suggest you quit Eve and find a real online game.
If, on the other hand, you are asking "how" to play Eve, then bend over and assume the position, you Little Bugger.

10 mill SP since 08?

you take a lot of vacations or something? because that's like 6 months of SP

join a null corp, but spend 6 months getting your boat and gunnery skills up first.
well, not really, but have a fat wallet anyhow, because you will be popping fairly often (that's not a bad thing BTW, its just life)

for the record, Peripheral Madness is recruiting now
if you want to join a null corp with good alliances send in an application to our recruiter

Or you could try lowsec, either as a pirate or as part of faction warfare. Plenty of pirate corps looking for new recruits, especially if they willing to learn quickly.

Somebody's butt has a hurt?

You could try NOT joining large alliances as a solution to not liking large alliances. I bet you could pull it off with existing game mechanics and not a lick of new code from CCP.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

The 24th could always use a new pilot.

I was weary about joining faction-warfare, not being much of a PVPer as well as being a little scared of leaving highsec. But I gotta say, its quite a bit of fun. Every little thing you do seems to have a bit more meaning, even missions. Plus you get to talk to lots of people.

If nothing else it does little to stop you from doing what your currently doing. Just adds the ability to do much more. Just my two cents.
