You say I should just go shoot the Goons... sure, do you even play EvE? Goons might all be scummy douchebags but they have numbers and experience and isk on their side. Just because someone can't physically (virtually?) fight doesn't make their voice and opinion less valid, Goons are scum and it's that simple, there is years of evidence to support this. Whether they hide behind the veil of "it's just a video game" or "we're just RPing bad guys" it doesn't really matter.

Join the Marmite Collective and pop goons on the Jita undock all day. You might even catch some idiot in a multi billion isk autism chariot.

Or you can sit around and whine in apathy. Your call.

That said it's kinda funny when NPC alts lean back on "must be no-bodies in real life" argument, when many GSF figures of any note are/were lawyers, doctors, engineers, senior diplomats or high-level IT guys.

I kind of love the variety. I still remember when CCP raised the issue of alliance logos as intellectual property and within like, a day, we had a bigger assembly of international lawyers than CCP does. Or the fact that some of our counter intelligence guys are honest to God gumshoe private investigators.

Just to clear all of this up, our automated system discovered that the OP signed up to our forums using the same email address as Prencleeve Grothsmore has used. This is the 4th time this year that we have caught this individual attempting to join our ranks.

What again? That guy just doesn't give up, doesn't he?

Lets see, you call what I said a 2nd grade insult. (thats a 2nd grade insult in itself, so good job with being a hypocrit!), you talk about insults from behind the double anonymity of an npc corp alt (this is actually my main, I just don't want to dedicate myself to a corp and like flying solo, and also anyone on the internet hides behind anonymity or have you just discovered this magical thing called the interwebs?)

You say I should just go shoot the Goons... sure, do you even play EvE? Goons might all be scummy douchebags but they have numbers and experience and isk on their side. In video games, yep it does make your opinion less valid. Look at what you're doing, talking trash about goons while proclaiming that they are somehow invincible to computer generated fake bullets. It says a lot about your personality to you won't go after goons because you can't win, but feel totally fine sitting in a chair typing insults on a keyboard.

Gee, i must have been doing it wrong for the last 7 years shooting goons (except for short time while blue to them, in which case I used an alt to shoot goons lol).

Learned your lesson I suppose.

Goons are the kind of people that will never amount to anything in their real life so they have to pretend like their badass in a video game. In other words, the scum of the Earth (and New Eden).

Well most of us are pretty rich in real life & don't work anymore, but I guess keep telling yourself whatever makes you feel good.

Sure, kid. Anyone that actually calls them self rich over the internet obviously isn't. And even if you do have money, posting about it to try and defend yourself shows how much of a insecure douchebag you are in real life that you have to grief in a video game to get your kicks.

Going by your backwards logic, if I call myself poor, does that mean I'm secretly rich?

But you do have a point. Getting angry over stupid **** on the internet is a good sign for being an insecure douchebag.

I thought it was common knowledge that Goons don't recruit in game, only through their forums. Well, I want to feel bad for you OP but the fact that you actually wanted to be a member of the most hated alliance in the game stifles that somewhat.

Maybe try Pandemic Legion next, they're only the second most hated alliance and not quite as bad. Lol

In my personal experience - the more "hated" an alliance is usually is a direct link to how much fun being in that alliance is and how well that alliance is doing at all things internet spaceship. I've found the hate to increase the more you play the game in ways that other players simply cannot grasp, and that results in very real results.

Glad to know Goons can't be attacked. Knowing I can ignore the roving bands of malediction interceptors and hot dropping stealth bombers that rampage through Deklein every day, all day, is certainly a relief.

I've heard Goons use their own version of CONCORD: The dreaded GPD, armed with specialized ships. Thanks to their ties within CCP, those special ships come with "GPD" already stamped on the side. Everyone shooting a Goon in Deklein will be jumped by teleporting squads of the GPD.
