Posting from a separate account alt for obvious reasons. Minor details (not crucial to events) may be changed to avoid detection.

I recently decided to reactivate my accounts and I figured a few safaris would be a good way to warm up. I also figured I would post the major events on the forums as well, since all you wonderful pirates/scammer/AWOXers/etc. helped convince me to give the game another chance by posting your shenanigans here.

Day 1:

Reactivated my accounts, went corp searching with a semi-clean char to avoid any suspicion. Found two corporations that fit the bill. Both medium membership (20-40 people), focused on carebear activities, and their killboard being terribad. They both asked for an API, but that wasn’t an issue since my char is essentially clean. So I sent some innocent looking apps/evemails saying I wanted to get into manufacturing and hauling and requested info on how to join.

Day 2:

Got a response from both, the first seemed overly eager to accept me, and currently had an active wardec (!). Tons of ideas came to mind here, mostly involving helping the enemy. They asked for my API and after some probing I managed to get tons of info on what they do and where they do it … I wasn’t even in the corp yet! Lol

The other individual from the second corp couldn’t spell his corp name correctly (or most other words for that matter); normally they would have been the ideal target, but I couldn’t resist helping the war effort go in the opposite direction.Twisted

Day 3:

Pretty boring day, no word from the first corp about whether or not I'd be in, so I decided to grab the cheapest PVP fit I had and go for a low sec roam. Overall it was pretty uneventful, almost caught a T1 frig in a FW complex, but he warped to station before I could point him. Besides that I saw maybe 10 other people in the area.

I figured I could finish the roam in the future, checked my apps for the corp invite once more and logged off.

Day 4:

After logging in today to continue my uneventful low sec roam, I saw the signature notification for new mail. It confirmed that I had been accepted into the corp, and that I should move my things to their HQ as soon as I accepted the invite. I initially tried to see if a corp hauler could help move my stuff (and so lure them into a trap immediately), but much to my disappointment, no one was willing to do it as the risk of being ganked by CODE along the way was too high (good job guys! Lol ). Even worse the enemy wartargets had not even logged in to grief the corp since declaring the war (who does this?).

After moving two ships the few jumps it took to get there, I immediately began to grab as much intel as I could. Each corp member seemed to have their own territory, where they would mine/explore/rat in peace; this was good, since it spread them out by several jumps, it would significantly reduce their reaction time. However this also would force me to do quite a bit of traveling if I wanted to get several targets. In addition, they have been planning to do some moon mining once CCP allows it in 0.4 systems. I briefly considered staying in corp long enough to "intervene" in those plans.

My intel gathering was distracted however, when the CEO told me in corp chat that if I needed anything, to check the corp hangar first. I was barely a member for 5 minutes and I already had access to the corp hangar! I immediately checked what was present, hoping that perhaps something valuable was there, but my hopes were dashed when I saw that it contained only about 200 mil in mods, ore and assorted frigates. I figured before I began my attack, I would grab all that I could first, so I at least could guarantee a profit for the whole operation. Shortly after, the CEO offered me some extra catalysts once he was done manufacturing them, I figured I would kill the corp with what he made, so I accepted his offer and logged off.

Share your story after it's over. Also your writing is sub-par. On the other hand, I approve.

Will do. Hopefully I can get several corp's for the next post if that's what people prefer.

Also, I'm more accustomed to writing technical papers (I do research in physics) rather than narratives, so I apologize if my writing is less than stellar.

It's just fine. Some people expect everyone to be an accomplished author, I suppose.

Yay Physics! I myself did a BSc with a Major in Physics. Planning on going back and getting my Masters at some point. That being said, don't listen to the naysayers. Your writing is fine, and your story is fun to date. Keep us updated, and the others can just catch up when it's done. To try to appeal to both sides though, could update when something exciting happens rather than daily check-ins. Your claims won't be discredited because of gaps in data. ;)
