Can we have this? Reasons are pretty obvious. It will be especially useful for ships trying to get off or back to gates with micros.

SHIFT + click is the default

What OP means is a double action.
A key that would activate and overheat at the same time.

And you know what?

I agree with him, the only purpose not being able to heat while gatecloaked serves is dying to lag.
Screw that.

Activate with heat wouldn't break anything and it would make experience more enjoyable.

I remapped midslot activation to keys 1-8, directly underneath f1-f8 on my (and most) keyboards.

I move my active lowslots to the midslots.

I remapped overheat to alt+f1-f8 and alt+1-8.

I usually have my prop mod on the '1' position.

So burning back to gate with o/h prop is as simple as: click approach (or jump), alt-1, 1.

Having a shortcut to do both would be the only case I know of a shortcut issuing multiple commands.

I do much the same, but since I had a semi-derptarded moment a year ago and bought a gaming mouse with 18(ish? Maybe there's more, I DON'T KNOW) buttons I mapped my entire numpad to my mouse, and I can just use Alt, Ctrl and Shift normally with the keyboard.

Dude just set it so shift + your module key overheats it.

I wear my goggles at night.

Any spelling/grammatical errors come complimentary with my typing on a phone

Please read the other replies before posting so you can realize that this is not what I'm talking about. Thank you.

Hmm, I really don't understand the issue, with prop mod on F3 for example, I hit Ctrl+F3, F3 and the prop mod starts running with overheat from the start. No rubbish mouse clicking needed and as quick as a single key and I am sure you can find even better key options than that. And what you are basically asking for is a script, not a shortcut, since its multiple actions, so NO.
