Clarification Requested: What exactly happens with "Mirroring"?

I am asking this question simply because before this last recent mirroring; I was able to fly a Carrier and now I can't... I logged in today to check my training because I was working on the skills to build the one that I wanted; now it seems that all the time I spent has gone to waste. I'm not happy.

a snapshot of tranquility database of skills and account statuses from the date of mirror (ex...june 23rd 2014)....is copied to the singularity server. So its a copy of your TQ self from whatever day they take it and all previous sisi data is wiped.
