When I applied to Northstar Cabal my contact there told me that a corp jump freighter would move all my stuff from Jita to nullsec. I thought, "hahahahah, like I'd fall for that." Turns out it was completely true. I could have trusted them with my worldly possessions, on the other hand, I didn't lose anything by being cautious.

Now I'm not sayin' I'm smarter than OP, but I'm not sayin' he's very smart either.

Kid seems to be interested in politics (he's a youth mayor or some such) - I don't know how he thinks an easily-linked online persona attached to threats, harassment and fraud (no, I'm not talking about in-game actions) will shake out for him when he tries to move beyond ceremonial positions and blogging, but as a personal word of advice - I suggest you leave the creepy online alter-ego behind you and try to make something of your real life.

You say I should just go shoot the Goons... sure, do you even play EvE? Goons might all be scummy douchebags but they have numbers and experience and isk on their side. Just because someone can't physically (virtually?) fight doesn't make their voice and opinion less valid, Goons are scum and it's that simple, there is years of evidence to support this. Whether they hide behind the veil of "it's just a video game" or "we're just RPing bad guys" it doesn't really matter.

That offer of a hug is still going you know. I'll even throw in a cup of hot chocolate too since this seems a particularly bad case

Ingame persona != real life persona

Contrary to popular belief Goons do have parents, families, next of kin. Lets keep the hate in game and not make it personal.

I hate Goons, but I don't HATE Goons. Its a difference but an important one.

One side has me shooting at their ships, and the other side would have me up a clock tower with a high powered rifle.

OP was scammed, shock horror. It happens, learn the lesson, make isk, hire mercs, collect bodies, move on.

Lumped a large group of individuals together as one? Check
Created, for yourself, a motive for the group? Check
Create a faux-morale tirade against said fabricated position? Check

That said it's kinda funny when NPC alts lean back on "must be no-bodies in real life" argument, when many GSF figures of any note are/were lawyers, doctors, engineers, senior diplomats or high-level IT guys.

It's also dumb because if you want to play the game of real-life assumptions, it ends up poorly for you buddy. Which one is more normal:

Person A, scams in a game that specifically advertises and encourages scamming
Person B, cries and throws his hands around, and insults people for playing a game in a different way to him.

If we're playing the "must be X in real life" game - then I posit you are 5 years old, perhaps 6? Not sure when temper tantrums over playing games is meant to phase out on average.
