What does a Corp have to have for you to join it?

Members who have fun or eccentric personalities and who are accepting of my own. Smile

Experienced, tenacious but understanding FCs that I can learn from and who help lead me to victories - and as a result am also honored to die beside when we lose.

Having a core membership that is Australian also helps.

Must live in wormhole space.

It can be hard to find a corp that you feel comfy in when you're an oddball like me. I spent most of my 4+ years of EVE running primarily solo until I joined Rolled Out (and it's previous incarnation within Sky Fighters). Like me they also love shitpoasting and forum PvP so it was a match made in a pleasure hub.

I actually wonder how long I will keep myself solo before I actually join a permanent group for good.

i find playing games solo to be mind numbingly boring.

i don't see how people can do it in EVE.

but i also don't see how people can be in the big alliances.

i like a small group of people that i know well.

In a few moments you will have an experience that will seem completely real. It will be the result of your subconscious fears transformed to your conscious awareness.

Damn come to think about it , after 10 years i finally joined my ultimate corp ...

I was in an NPC corp for a few months recently semi active, just logging in to flip skills. Their corp chat is hilarious tbh, best I've ever seen.

Last time i was in one it was vets trolling newbs ... surprise surprise people are actually helping each other now and having a ''decent'' general chat.

My corp. has one rule - "No Drama"

If I were looking for a corp., that's what I'd want.

API checks with meaning is a must.

If the don't check API's it's fail.
Usally lazy and the spies and other idiots are everywhere.

If they ask for full API it's another fail.
It's just a little less lazy than no API.
They ask for all your information and no way are they getting my trade information and contacts.
My business is my business.

If they ask for enough to check SP and make it account wide to force people to pay monthly if they want to spy then they got the first and most important aspect handled. Custom API or GTFO.

Taxes comes in number two.
If they ask for fat taxes I'm out.
I make way to much on bounties to just give away isk.
Even a communist gets mad at having to do the bulk of the work to keep a corporation running.
8% is the max I'd even consider. Under 5% is when it gets serious consideration.

The rest follows after those 2 factors.
Where they opperate. (( Stuck in some WH is no fun ))
Are they associated with large power blocks. (( Usally means pass ))
What type of business model does it have.
Alliance can kill corporations. Bad alliance means even a good corp will barely do ok.
If alliance ask for fat taxes or is stupid enough to rent from a power block RUN!

A lack of requirements for me to have belonged to an obscure website about which I've neither known nor cared for 3 months before applying.

Seriously... Who comes up with this? I was turned down from one corp because I hadn't been a member of a particular forum for 3 months.

All the world's a stage and all the men and women are the players.

I loved being solo. Well, by solo I mean I still flew with others every now and then, but was in my own corp primarly just flying alone with numerous alts. Living in lower class wormholes my pvp was pretty much limited to ganks, 1v1s and other similar small scale stuff. Some people might think "Eww, boring" but I had a ton of fun everytime I logged in. *shrug*

But yeah, one day I just woke up feeling like a change of pace. I wanted to enjoy some big fleets again, something I hadn't done since my FW days. I wanted to get some capital kills. I wanted to experience life in higher class wormhole systems and I wanted to make more friends. I'd been watching a corp on the forums that I found real attractive for all these reasons and more, so joined and haven't looked back.

No doubt I'll return to my solo thing sometime if I get burned out or need a little break. But for the foreseeable future I'm quite happy flying with, and for, other people for a change. Smile

Corp hangers and POS's full of nice things.

I look for large amounts of ISK stored in corp wallets, expensive mods held in corp hangers, and lax standards when it comes to handing out roles.

Also, while not required, Corp shares not held by the CEO are also a plus.
