Can we nerf Caldari ships anyways for being ugly?

Bahahaha! It has its gems, though I wish they'd deal with the blackbird. *shutter* Does anyone know if they've put the new shaders on the Rokh yet? It still seems... meh compared to the new moa or the naga.

Maybe you don't notice how PvE gives PvPers prey and allows PvPers a source of ISK with which to pay their expenses. What was that about not knowing what you're talking about? PvE is a necessary and core component of EVE, unless you think CCP should just start giving everyone free ISK on a daily basis. PvE has been here since Day 1 and will remain until the servers close. As such, there's no reason why it shouldn't be balanced and of good quality.

That's not to say I agree with OP; OP is an idiot. It just happens that you're an idiot too.

Your entire post = fail. Use the toilet next time instead of the forums.

You know, its amazing how many people forget that the Golem looses 25% of its DPS to NPC defender missiles a good portion of the time. Vargur > Golem any day. The Golem is much friendlier to lower SP though due to the nature of missile mechanics.

I care about pvp. Gallente ships currently represent about 65 to 70 percent of the ships used in pvp. Gallente are horribly unbalanced.

Speaking as a total high sec bear. I've been trying to get out missiles(caldari) for a long time.
Gunnery especially with the marauder changes is the most optimal PvE weapon platform.
Splitting guns on frigates on approach, application on cruiser sized ships adds up to make for the fastest mission completion time. Why do missiles fail imho, overkill and underkill. Depending on the bounty on a ship different dps is needed and you have to wait and see also you lose more dps then people want to talk about to defenders in anything but torpedo golem, and that is a chunk of SP further it would be childish to suggest such a niche SP venture as OP. Since it really doesn't shine as the ultimate marauder.

Drones post nerf aren't great, sure they are awesome in certain setups and specific ships, like a certain gallente HAC.
But across the line, drones aren't it because 1: 1 sec dps application delay, all the small ticks cut into your dps. 2: Micromanagement and drone loss. 3: Slow response. 4: Sentries being the main drone for PvE use need you to be stationary. 5:You can't split guns and kill off frigates quickly in fact that is where slow response really hurts, because their approach is so fast the window for frigs to close in is rather enlarged with sentries.

Gunnery, it applies instantly, has no tracking issues with enough range, just one click, and when things get close there should only be BS/BC left or you suck, yes you suck :P.

All my pals fly around in bait proteuses. Massive dps, enormous ehp, I'm a purist though and fly around in t1 and t2 amarr, which is why I'm **** at pvp.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

It comes down to 2 things. Shield tanks are better for missions as they are more effective when active tanking and they allow ships to deal better DPS. Second is that missiles have really good range and damage put out by them is reduced, only based on the statistics of the target, and at that never miss if in range. These means that caldari missile ships are in many ways perfect for a PVE environment such as lvl4s.

Missile ships are good for PVP in many places but due to extreme damage mitigation from piloting and force preservation from logistics, missiles aren't always the optimum choice. In other PVE content missile ships fair fairly well in all but incursions, where the delay in damage slows the fleet down and makes them in-optimal.

I've seen Caracals quite often by reds and blues alike in the thunderdome of PVP that is Provi.

I've been reading OPs post expecting a sudden twist only to realize there are none.

The hell??

Do you know how useless the missiles become when a single smartbomb makes its entrance?

Crows are hot stuff right now, moas and vultures are good and rail tengus are pretty great too.

But that's about it .
Also notice how only 1 of these ships is using missiles?

I'd say the caldari missile boats are the king of high sec missions.

Gallente are the king of null sec pve

And i'd place gallente, amarr and minmatar above caldari for pvp overall (although thats just my opinion). edit: with the exception of caldari's rail ships

Wasn't the whole point of the rebalancing effort to make all ships have a place in PVP?

Is it really caldari that is bad (yes, kinetic only bonus FOAD) or are the missile systems just really bad? (Yes, Torps are dog-**** on anything but golem/SB, HAMs are meh, HML are terrible, RLML are broken, citadel missiles are so horribly broken they had to change the sig radii on nearly every structure and capital in game to make them work the same they did before)
