Race for the Shiny!

The goal is to be the first ones on the new mirror to buy all the shiny mods. It's always the same ol' people that get there first and deplete the market.

So get on SiSi as soon as it comes back online and get your mods!!!

First of all I dont understand what you are talking about. And IF it is what I think it is, I thought that was not allowed? It sure seems like people buy and resell crap A LOT on SISI. Is anything done about it? Are the "rules" enforced?

only mass purchasing of seeded items are not allowed. Read the rules FULLY. You could buy every Republic Fleet Warp Disruptor on market jetcan it and shoot it. No one cares and there is no rule since its not a seeded item.

1) Log into new mirror. (The sooner the better)
2) Go to a good market area. (Jita)
3) Buy most expensive (TQ price) ship you can fly.
4) Insure said ship.
5) SD said ship 100+ times.
6) Buy any and all Officer/Deadspace/Faction mods you can find.
7) Use or destroy them...no matter.

Nothing illegal or improper about it.

Get Banned for flooding Space with Wrecks akin to mass jettisoning ships from carriers or mass jettisoning anchorable objects, that in turn seems to cause lag for players on less powerful machines.


Also the biggest flaw in your plan seems to be that you'd need to SD about 1k BSs to buy even a handful of officer mods. In the meantime market will be purged and or cleaned out long before your second SD. 100+ times simply won't cut it but hey, feel free to waste your own time and enjoy your own ban.

Why is this in the Test Server Feedback forum. This has nothing related to game bugs or proper game mechanics that also take place on Tranquility. If a rule is being broken then report it in the correct thread.

I very much doubt anyone's been banned for self-destructing ships in space for insurance purposes, it's a common practice and I regularly do it early in a mirror with dreadnoughts (as do many others since they only cost 100 ISK and the payback is close to a billion for each). For courtesy's sake I always pop the wrecks afterwards, though I seriously doubt a dozen wrecks would cause much lag for anyone able to play on TQ without issue. Considerably more lag exists in the combat system with all the abandoned drones.

Your right... but the amount of ships you would have to SD just to buy some shiny mods would breach the threshold of common sense.

As for getting isk fast, are 23rd tier overseers effects no longer seeded? I remember you used to be able to make a few trillion isk in under 10 minutes with those.
