I just don't get how people fall for this kind of stuff. You don't seem particularly dumb. (other than giving all your **** to goons Straight)

Aside from the fact that their very corp name announces their intentions, a quick google search reveals somewhere in the neighbourhood of 18 million tear filled posts from people just like you who got their wallets ganked by our beloved goonswarm.

How did you fall for this? This is a serious question.

Goons are the kind of people that will never amount to anything in their real life so they have to pretend like their badass in a video game. In other words, the scum of the Earth (and New Eden).

Do you actually believe this horseshit? Or is this some kind of RP?

Well idk I'm not exactly a veteran or by any means experienced in eve outside Highsec. Also it really wasn't much to lose for me. I have 8 accounts, 4 miners, 1 orca pilot, 1 freighter pilot, 2 pve toons, all of which have maxed P.I. skills and I can make 1-3B in a day so its not even a setback just a lesson learned. I was trying to get escape highsec but I guess Im not ready, gotta research some more. Live and learn I will still continue to play the game till the end.

Really?

Thats surprising. Eve Who says 283 Corps and 11,187 members at the moment. Even if they all had the same number of members each, that's still 39 members per Corp.

Goonwaffe seems to have 2,807:

Technically you could have just as well put collateral on a courier contract instead of self-haul. If anyone asks do you not trust me I'd be happy to inform them that indeed, I do not, and collateral shouldn't be a problem since my stuff is being handled by an experienced JF pilot and there are two rewards to it: one on the contract and your 8 characters getting their jumpstart in a new area, doing stuff for the alliance. At 4b collateral the JF pilot would look at at least a nice reward for his efforts, at least I always take into account the player actually moving has invested SP and time into his activities, and wants to make some ISK off that investment.

4b is a lot of collateral to cover though. Regardless, you should be able to negotiate honest and safe terms with a JF pilot carrying your valued assets, or it would be wise to not take him seriously and be wary of his "services".

We will never know, but 8 in that case is a possiblle scenario.

yes thankyou for providing this information. i have learned a lot today. in retrospect, it seems rather obvious that the largest corporation in goonswarm federation would have more than six members. a little too obvious.

Your name is apt friend. Eve punishes the ill-informed quite severely.

Leaving Highsec is as simple as clicking the jump button, but it's not highsec you need to escape. It's the carebear mentality. Stop hoarding ISK and resources and start interacting with the community and learning about the game. Noone cares how much ISK you make in a day or how fast you can make it back. If that's all you take away from this experience than I am afraid you are doomed to be a slave to your wallet (and by extension hi-sec safety) until you unsub out of boredom.

If anything you should thank the Goon who wrecked your wallet for freeing you from slavery and showing you the sandbox.

My 2c anyhow.

Ha

Ha Ha

Bwah hahahahahahahahahahaha

Oh god, my sides.

You wanted to be a Goon so I have zero sympathy for you.

But please, keep up the good work; you brought a ray of sunshine to an otherwise dull day.

Goons lie, cheat and back-stab every new player they come across. Always have, always will. Why people keep thinking their experience will yield different results blows my mind.

I thought it was common knowledge that Goons don't recruit in game, only through their forums. Well, I want to feel bad for you OP but the fact that you actually wanted to be a member of the most hated alliance in the game stifles that somewhat.

Maybe try Pandemic Legion next, they're only the second most hated alliance and not quite as bad. Lol

Once you've put "Goon" and "trust" in the same sentence, you've got a problem.
"Trust" a "Goon"? nah... "Goons" can be "Trust"-ed? nah...

It's all in the syntax. Or Sin Tax...

We must accommodate the idiocracy.
