Stupid Stuff

Let me first start off by saying I know I messed up and I am stupid for doing X and trusting them. But hey you live and learn and that's part of EVE and there's always tomorrow.

Goonswarm recruiting to kill there new members and take some of there stuff???
So today I was looking for a Corp which was in null, and that I can help support with my 8 accounts being a huge industry guy and all. A couple days ago I was invited by Lyeni of Outer World Industries [-OWI-] in Goonswarm Federation. Made it sound interesting in joining, was really just wanting to get into a corp with a settled Null system and continue playing the game and make billions a day again. However that was not the case with this story. Instead they had me pack up some things send over X via contract to haul over join the corp and jump my freighter out. Then I was tackled and killed and podded, they wanted me to eject ( lols ) I didn't. My total lose at the end of the day roughly 4b. Yes that is a good amount of money, and well I guess I was not cool enough for the Goons of EVE, it means little. Could I have prevented it? maybe if I wasn't so trustworthy idk?

Just thought I should share my story for the day for all to laugh at, or learn from or whatever you want. Life goes on and I will make my isk lose back in acouple days doesn't really matter when you have 8 accounts, just a shame I couldn't join.

Yeah, you could have prevented it. When someone asks you to contract over all the stuff you own - don't. Being trusting is one thing, I tend to trust people until I have a reason not to. However, my trust does not extend to giving them everything I own and assuming that things will end well. :)

This just in, goons scam and cheat new "recruits"

If you wanted to join goons. you need to do your homework.

Replace "all stuff" with "stuff of high value" - same thing, you get my drift. Trusting is fine - but not that trusting.

Page works just fine - the part of that page that applies here is in bold red text and is something like:

If you gave isk to join GoonWaffe then you were scammed and you're **** out of luck.

If its not the oldest trick in the book, its close personal friend of the oldest.

Homework, google, 90% of the pilots in Eve, Goons themselves, asking in local, could of enlightened you to this scam...

There is no such thing as a fair fight...

Lies, libel, and not the least bit of treachery by the creator of this thread. OP was a spy and was treated as such. Don't trust him. After attempting to dissolve The Glorious Socialist Goon Soviet, he is now trying feebly to damage our stellar reputation. Having his possessions taken and his ship destroyed was the least we could do to repay his nefarious actions.

CCP mostly sucks at their job, but Veritas is a pretty cool dude.

It's not as if there aren't a half dozen Goonswarm corps that do openly recruit from the general EVE community. People just see the biggest one and go "oooh shiny" without bothering to check anything.

Join one of the N3 corps. They are better, and need pilots / tax income more.

No difference whatsoever for a guy like you I think. Null is null, who cares under what banner it is at this moment.
