Weird magnetic like issues when around large object in missions

What I mean by this is that in many missions if you get too close to a large object it acts like a magnet making it hard at all to move around it. I am not sure if these large rocks, stations, and whatever else that does this have invisible walls around them. What I experienced in the past is while doing security missions I might have to fly around a large station for example and sometimes I can hardly move, or my velocity will speed up and then slow down several times. I also seem to move very very slowly. Also had encountered this while trying out mining missions and there was a large rock I had to move around to mine various resources and it would again make it hard for me to move if I got too close to it.

I am not sure how long this weird issue has been around but it seems like this is a weird bug that perhaps has been in the game since its release. Maybe CCP doesn't see this as a problem for some reason, but as a new player I see this as very frustrating and annoying to deal with when I am just wanting to mission run in New Eden.

The visual representation of objects in space are often different to the area that is used (by the server) to calculate wether or not you hit that object. This bounding box/sphere might be larger that what you actually see.

It really can be annoying (like those cases where you navigate an Orca into the middle of a cluster of asteroids) but my assumption is that it'll be too difficult to easily do something about it from a development point of view.

That almost sounds like they had to guess where in space you would collide with the object and then input everything manually O.O

I just figured they could remove the objects completely in a test client, and then replace them with newer more exact objects that tell the server where the ships does/does not collide with it. Or perhaps new tech that would allow them to be as exact as possible, and that tech could perhaps improve other areas of the game for all I know. But then again I am no server/database tech.
