A lot of ex-nullseccers went back to nullsec because they got burnt out with w-space. It sucked losing ~10 people but considering we're still performing better than a lot of other groups I'm quite happy with the position we're in.

Nice 0 kills and 1 loss by the way this month Feuror, great job on a call-out thread with that sort of activity.

Feel free to link your "alts" that you pvp with - back in EOL that toon was your main from memory.

I mention that we're doing better than a lot of groups. Trapped is one of those groups. I'm pretty happy that in a month where the vast majority of our FC's left and in a month where we spent some time helping them move out, we were still able to kill more than double you guys.

In fact - Trapped hasn't killed anything in wormhole space in 7 days. Do you guys even live in wormhole space anymore? I do remember when RLLO fought SSC a few weeks ago and we invited Trapped along since they were in chain - and you had 2 people able to come. I thought you were just weak in that timezone. Sounds like you're just weak in general.

I mean jeez, of all the groups to call us out for dying...

I don't know about you, but they seem to be doing alright.

A few people left for null sec since they were burnt out. A lot of them were my best friends so I followed them there.

It's almost like wormholes are dead.

Like I've said every time.

Removing NPC kill and Player kill api data was dumb and wrong. FoxFour is too stubborn and prideful to admit mistake here I fear though, so I'll just throw my arms up in the air and give up. You win FoxFour, wormhole space is dead, congratulations!

(Obviously api data isn't the only thing, but it's certainly very dumb to remove it when you have no ideas to supplement the loss of player interaction due to its removal.)

The API data thing likely played little to zero part in many people leaving wormholes. The wormhole community has been struggling for a while.

It's also not dead. New groups will replace the ones that leave. New names will rise as others fade. It's going to cycle, and the newer players will play with the changes until they adapt, or forgot what it was like before. Remember wormholes before mappers, corp bookmarks, and the like? Some do, some don't.

With the difference that the GAP between "Active" and "Inactive" and as well as in "Established" and "New Guys" is getting bigger.

Challenge for 2014 are not NIPs or Sieges (well, depends we used 6 Guys and had a crazy skymarshal so gimme a break). Its COMMON SENSE!
Get more "Pets" => Train your next enemy, dont send him back to Kspace. (AGAIN TOTALLY DIFFERENT SITUATION)
[There was some slight concern regarding this statement its addressed at the entire Community of Wormholes not a specific corp]

I agree with Proc. API supported just one life style in wormholes. It was never critical and could never replace scouting.

Now, if you like rolling for people who ran sites 8 hours ago...you know...when you weren't connected at all and want to plan a log off trap, then yes. Your game style just got nerfed a bit. Sorry! But guess what, you can still make it happen just fine.

You mean the thing where you actually fly through the chain and look at things?! Shocked
Nah! Sounds like effort. It's much more efficient to constantly cry about loosing a free intel tool.

W-space is far from dead.
The only people leaving due to the API nerf are those that you didn't see flying around in w-space anyway, because they were logged off in some farmer hole, waiting for the API to tell them when to log in and get an easy kill.

Confirming I am pissed, and RLLO is dead...

Or maybe The Fueror is just a giant POS, and that is not a deployable structure in game.

I still love most/all of the dudes in RLLO, and would volunteer to have Sith or Brax's babies, but it was time for something different.

Much love, much respect.

RLLO are good people and I would pick up the phone for them any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

That being said, W-space is dying a slow and painful death. It's easy to say the solution is to "scout". But, when you scan and map out 5-10 chains a night and see nothing but empty space or POS'd up bears, it's draining. It's not any one thing, but a combination of corps folding into larger corps/alliances, lack of positive iteration and downright neglect of W-Space from CCP, and overall attrition and burnout from living in W-Space. The API change was just icing on a cake that has been baking for a long time. Corps like RLLO are trying to buck the trend and keep W-Space alive an interesting. I wish them the best of luck in their endeavors. If I was ten years younger and had more time to scan chains all day, I'd probably still be in there.

Our angle is that we care about objective game balance, regardless of who it benefits or hurts.  -Goonswarm 2014
