I humbly submit this outside link. It is a text to speech system that will pronouce the words in as close an approximation to its lingual origin as possible. So when I type in a system like Vlillirier it will spit it out as if pronounced by a french woman. I think this kind of system wold be nicely and easily integrated into the EVE UI. Right Click on a system...text-to-speech and you would get Aura speaking it to you in the given accent.

This would add flavor and depth to the world as well giving role players and those of us who are ...how do I put this... anal retentive about words and pronouncing them correctly something to enjoy as well

I thought i had heard somewhere Aura quit (at least I seem to recall hearing her voice actress isn't in the business any longer).

That said, this needs to be a thing!

Since i doubt system names are subject to much change their usual reasoning to avoid something like this, "if we change it we break the voice track" doesn't seem to apply here...

We need a new computer voice then. Anybody remember the voice of KABAL (i think) from Command and Conquer 2? Anyone?

People from different countries have different ideas about how a word should be pronounced. Having a robot will make no difference because it's still pronouncing the words according to a specific language/accent/dialect.

As a finn I pronounce words like "kurniainen" very differently than my 'murican friends (who can't speak) and they probably wouldnt' understand what I'm talking about if they heard my pronunciation.

A text-to-speech robot would not make any difference unless it could handle and translate every language correcly.

So have a native speaker record a pronunciation of the systems. I don't really see a problem here...some jackwad could do this with a home PC and microphone and just send in the WAV file.
