Want to test your comps and get flight skills on the Test Server in legit 12 v 12s under tourney rules?

The TEST Test test space is up again. We're still in SU-8 (eight jumps from move me) and we have a full set of beacons (thank you CCP Fozzie). We meet up Saturdays at 19:00 and go until 21:00 or so. There's a few other alliances who meet up with us, so you should be able to get a group going pretty quick.

No need to sign up or anything. Just show up, get 12 ships / 100 points, join channel NEO and say you want to queue up for a skirmish against next available team

(we should probably change the channel name. it's still NEO for now though, back from when it used to be a NEO practice space)

For teams looking to knock the rust off their guns, this is a good chance to practice. We are there every week so it is guaranteed fights. We have the arena setup and ready to go.

Some tips to help maximize your practice time:

Pre-build your ships. Build spares.
Make sure you team patches and moves into the practice system well before practice starts.
Be prepared to run with less than 12 people. Yes, your comps start to suck but you still get in the flight time and you might still win.
Be early / on time. Matches will run as long as there are 2 teams who want to fight.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Took some of my team into S-U today and joined in the practice matches. I was really impressed with how well this was set up, and we had a terrific time. My entire team thanks you for the work you've done to put all of this together! I highly recommend it as a great way to get in practice time against a variety of teams - it really keeps you on your toes, that's for sure!

Will you be continuing the open practices once Duality opens, either on SISI or Duality?

We hope to do the same thing on duality as well. A private server will cut down on all the randoms, however the server is still open to the entire alliance (assuming), not necessarily only the alliance's tournament team roster but anything helps. It will also protect us from buggy sisi updates and/or experimental new mechanics or even ship changes, god forbid, and cut down on random DC's.

As for our weekly practices, TEST hopes to get rid of our gimmicky comp's and focus on the current meta (sorry nulli Roll ). We also hope to implement "arranged" matches, like "Hey, you should bring a sleip/gila team, we wanna test our comp against that." and also do bans. As a comp builder, I'm not putting it past myself to even hand out ships for you to fly against us, just so we can really test what our comps can handle.

Thanks for the positive feed back, 70+ in local (although, not many teams :( )

Double posting for this, as this is a really good post to highlight

Adding to this...

- The "NEO" channel is where everything is coordinated and said (minus count down in local and captains channel).
- Please PLEASE don't let a fight drag on unnecessarily. Simply type "calling it" in the NEO channel, or something to that effect (not GG in local) so we all can fit as many matches in the short time frame we have as we can. It's not about winning a match, it's more about piloting and fielding full 12 man comps against other players, and testing them to your design.

Posting for legit practice sessions. We're alive and kicking, and we want teams to skirmish against.

It looks like Duality isn't ready so we are doing it again this Saturday! Same thing as last time. We have put in a request to get arenas made.

Matches kick off as soon as two teams are ready. I am guessing that we will be starting at 1800 or so.

There has been a mirror so you want to get your team patching and moving today and tomorrow.

800MB Patch
You need to move your pods over to the practice system.
You will need to re-build your comps.

We are likely going to have different channels for the countdowns in different arenas, but join NEO for co-ordination.

Everyone should be more familiar with the system, that means more matches.

No Duality means that we are doing it again!

1800 on Saturday on SISI

We have 3 arenas running in S-U8 (8j? from the moveme system). You can be a bro and put up MJUs if you love space construction. They disappear after a couple days and need to be re-activated. The arenas are permanent arenas provided by lovely CCP employees with beacons and everything.

There is a stocked market in that system and we usually get 4+ teams. Several new teams have shown interest which means we are fast approaching that "all you can eat matches" critical mass of 7-8 teams.

ALL TEAMS WELCOME. Team members join "NEO" channel and captains join "NEO+" for getting matches.

If you are a spy the least you can do is border judge. You know who you are.

Some teams are interested in doing this on Sundays as well. The arenas are there, you are welcome to use them anytime. TEST may not have a full team on Sunday, but if 2 or more teams show up then go for it. I am guessing that there will be 2 full teams and a few partial teams that would show up on Sunday. Perhaps this is a good topic for the captains channel.
