What does Crius offer the average player who is not an industrialist or starbase manager?

This is the best part about the six week rollouts. You don't have to wait half a year to hope for content that relates to your playstyle. The fact that Crius is pretty much focused on starbases isn't quite as hard to swallow knowing that it will be followed by something else in a few weeks.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Seriously, if you honestly can not see how an industry revamp, which everyone uses everyday, yes everyone, will improve your own gameplay. Then your not seeing the big picture

I personally can see how the industrial and star base changes might affect average players who do not partake in either aspects of the game, but are there any features that are slated to be incorporated in the Crius expansion that are lesser known or have flown under the radar due to the theme of the expansion being industrial/star-base related for the most part?

two little things are coming, one lets you not be flagged for fleet warp, which si good for scouts and ships that don't need to be warped, and I forget what the other one is. Also I think another redesigned ship is coming too. It would eb nice if we got a feature page though

Honestly I don't see how this will improve my gameplay. It will affect market prices in various ways, so it affects my gameplay. That is very different from improving it though.

On the other hand, with rolling patches I don't expect every patch to be applicable to me, and I look forward to the ones that are.

The test server feedback forum has a list of threads covering the different things in Crius that we currently know.

I think I get what the OP is getting at. Seeing as all this content was scheduled to be pushed weeks ago I think he is wondering what other features were planned for Crius before this was all pushed back? Or was the plan all along to push the industry changes back almost 2 months?

A chance to burden the server with endless amounts of clutter since many of the limits to POS placement are being blown off like stink.

It will be like anchored cans all over again, UNLESS the 30-day timer mechanism is incorporated into the POS programming -- but I doubt that because we keep getting told that changes to the POS code are nigh on impossible and/or fraught with scary side effects beyond all reckoning.

Fun times.

Check out some of the little things in the test server feedback thread. Pretty much every release is gonna have at least a few minor improvements for the "average player"

sigh...

People complain of lag and tidi, every old system coded in single thread, single core code, that gets ripped out and replaced with multi thread, multi core code give a huge improvement to performance, this means if a system has a fight, then the industry stuff can now branch to other cores of the cpu and thus remove some of the load on that fight. Thats how it will improve everyone's game play. I don;t see why people fail to understand this.

Edit: people tend to forget that when eve was written in 99-03 that the trend was MORE GHZ!!!! Then a few years after eve came out, the trend shifted to MORE CORES!!!! Eve was already coded so that they would be fine with more GHZ, but they could not do a big rewrite to get it to work with multi cores. So thats eve's biggest bottleneck and has been for years.

Why thank you for noting I'm not average! Mom never did!

Every POS will now be a loot Piñata.
