Hey mate

Dont listen to most of these tards. The reason that they dont want it is because they had to do it the hard way and its unfair on them if you dont have to.

There is this overwhelming belief by CCP that there own game is a piece of ****.

They wont do unlimited skill queue because they think that if people dont have to log in they will never log in ever again

They dont want warp to zero as this way you dont actually have to be a your computer and you might forget why you ever played this game.

Think about how many people would quit if there was no 24 hour skill queue and think about how many more people would subscribe if there was an unlimited skill queue.

EDIT warping to zero does nothing to stop you being ganked. The most danger you are in is when you come of a gate not when you warp to it. But none of these highsec Bears no that

mature player base for eve is one of the funniest thing ive ever heard.

Nope The only reason there is a WTZ and the instadock warp it's because in the old days, everyone was using Bm to do such things, wich in the end mean a HELL of server overload without purpouse.

Now i can sure see the benefits of Autopilot + WTZ when hauling goods in a freighter but let's be serious.
If you can go AFK while flying in autopilot, then why the hell even care if the trip take you more or less, in fact you are not at keyboard and not wasting your game time right now. and in the other hand if you are playing and want to save time then Go fly manual and problem solved.

Hmmm...I think the two are very different things. The manual instajump/dock is just that...manual. It is a convenience (as was stated in an earlier post). Autopilot is a specific game mechanic that offers a negative consequence for automatically doing something that could be done manually without the negative consequence.

That the two processes accomplish an essentially identical task is immaterial. Walking to the store and riding to the store accomplish identical tasks but there are significant negatives to the first that can't be avoided.

You mean have a passive way to run missions so that I can just pvp every time I play Eve?

I support this.

They are called drone boats too.. And in reality are already more efficient then autopiloting.

Well, now that it doesn't randomly bug out and turn off or forget your route security preferences autopilot doesn't really have any consequence aside from not being able to turn on your AB to get to the gates faster. Granted, it hasn't been updated with either the warp-to-0 (which, as stated, was less to make travel faster and more to make travel less of a burden on the servers via bookmarks being thrown around) or the new auto-jump, but it isn't like it landed you extra-far from gates compared to how manual travel worked when it was designed (i.e. "the beginning") or anything.

Wouldn't mind it being updated as it'd save a lot of mindless clicking while traveling around in hi-sec, and it'd be no harder to catch someone in low/null on autopilot than if they were there (unless they were dumb enough to be using the current autopilot in low or hostile null). It's not like they'd be adding in instant travel between systems where you didn't even have to *use* the gates or anything.

Oh.

Wait.

So, we're ok with jump clones and bridges and cynos to travel easily, instantly, and safely... but someone asks about updating a convenience feature that makes basic travel no less dangerous than mindlessly clicking is suddenly wanting "easy mode." Right.

Yes, maybe you can warp to zero on autopilot, to one gate every 24hours. Or have another character open the gate for you on the other side who then has to stay in space for 10mins before opening the next gate.

You have a valid argument there for afk gameplay

Actually - lets get forward a bit :
1.Run a mission button
2.Go to / Dock to button
3.Fight button (with GTFO button next to it)
4.Etc etc ...

After all this is done we can reduce client to those few buttons + stats/fitting/market screen. Image reduction of stress for player machine. This would make EVE run even on 10 years old hardware.
And without all this info flying around the network during combat - bye bye lag !
Ahh ... possibilities ....

Any addition that makes playing EVE Online less of a pain in the ass is a good one in my book.

Anyone who disagrees simply doesn't have a life.

Funny thing

Waaay back in the day, there was no skill queue. It was implemented rather late after game launch.

Ppl would put 'the long skill' when offline, and juggle with short skills when logged in.

Maybe CCP could make you a machine that automatically drips hot water through coffee grounds and then filters it into a cup.

How is warping to 15km a pain in the ass. You can still walk away and do whatever you want. Warping to 0km simply means you're a carebear who wants to avoid conflict. DIAF!

This. If you weren't up making coffee you'd just be sitting around browsing forums of watching porn while your ship flew automatically. You can still autopilot to make coffee, you'll just go one system instead of three.

So, with this whole warp and jump feature I was jsut wondering why CCP didnt imoplament the same whilst on autopilot.

I know people will moan and say afk travelings baaaaaad, and that it reduces the change to gank someone, but anyone carrying anything worthwhile surely wouldnt be afk anyway.

The whole warp to 0 and jump button just endorces Macros or bots in my opinion, and being one not to break the EULA I would never do this, hense this thread.

Do you think autopilot should be changed so that it warps to 0 or not?

No

Alarm clocks were a personal choice unless you had played since 2003 and had literally only one skill left to train.

I only ever alarm clocked once, and that was only because I had to be awake 30 minutes later anyway.

If you were missing sleep in order to change skill then this game has replaced far to much of your life for comfort, it was much easier just to slap a long skill on and replace it when you got online.
