Problem: No local clock in game.

Solution: Create a clock with in the already existing UI for Local time.

Pros: Would reduce system lag caused by having to alt-tab or widows mode the game client

Cons: None that I can think of.

Details:

It would be very useful to have a local time clock below the calendar pop up on the UI when you hover over the Universal time clock, this clock can be adjustable by the user VIA either the Options by hit ESC or by right clicking on the clock its self to set or make changes to the time.

(Note: Universal time clock is still static and unchanged able.)

This clock should be settable in the same fashion that you set your computers clock IE; -01:00 00:00 +01:00 and so on.

Please discuss this and please no mean comments. Thank you for reading.

(If you do not understand the way I have worded this please feel free to ask and I will clarify better then this as best I can.)

Why I don't see an issue for there not to be a local clock, I also don't really see the reason for one to be there, but since I am in favor of making general access easier without taken from the game... you got my vote.

Server time should stay to be the primary source though.

It's for people who do not have a high end gaming computer, it is not as easy for others with out the high end computer to switch over and back as it would be on a computer that has had a lot of money put into it.

HELL NO.

1 reason and 1 reason only.
I don't want everyone and their mother giving me CTA in their timezone and having to calculate for every guy gmt this utc that.

GTFO

When my ceo says something I want it in EVE TIME.
It also clears any and all confusion which time someone meant.

As soon as local time gets introduced that will start happening.

My time is eve +2 so every time I just add 2 hours and there we go, my local time.
If you can't do that then you aren't capable of playing the spreadsheet of a game eve is anyway.

EvE-Mail me if you need anything.

im not against the idea but, dang!

wait? is this to override the eve time? cause that should def be a no. Anyone wanting to coordinate a multi-national op needs to learn to give time in eve time. But to have a clock down there as well as is ok.

WoW has done this perfectly.

Server Time and local time. I forget which one is default but on hover it shows both and they are labelled. To avoid meetings called like someone above said you could make the default server time.

I am I favor of keeping only one time clock displayed inn the client, so that all time information can be related to the eve time, like fleet start, timer, and such... I agree with the previous poster that two different times will introduce a lot of confusion, while as it is now all time can be related to eve time.

Now, the valid issue is points to is about facilitating the calculation of eve time into everyone local time according to their TZ. This can be a new accessory, where you set up your own TZ and you just type a time in eve time, and it will immediately spit out the date and time on your local TZ.

Implementing this as a second clock is not the solution IMHO.

Problem: you play in fullscreen

Solution: play in windowed mode and take look to the right side of the buttom of the screen.

While I'm neither agreeing that it is needed or saying hell no maybe have it so eve time is displayed as is but when u click clock u get both calender and 2 clocks 1 that is locked to eve time the other can be set to your local time making it so there are advantages as having it as a reference point only
