Fighters - Which is best?

I know I know it depends on the purpose. But if all we were thinking about was hitting stuff, regardless of dmg type, which would be the best?

I was under the impression that drone upgrade mods should apply to the fighters, however according the updated EFT the tracking doesn't. I have only just got my feet wet with the carrier stuff, and the logistics of doing practical types is a bit beyond my reach at the moment.

What is your experience with them previous to the patch, and if you got any, what is your experience post patch?

Most combat loads for carriers are
5x templars
5x minmatar(cant remember the name)

Generally you have 1-2 spare fighters just in case as well.

I have also seen some pretty comical 3 of each fighter loads.

Believe me when I say the tracking on them is affected by drone mods... Tested them on Sisi some and they slaughter everything down to cruisers pretty much now which is a bit overkill imo. Wouldn't want to be a HIC pilot these days to say it like that...

I WANT TO SAY IT BUT I CAN'T

As for the OP, generally its best to mix half and half EM and Explosive damage, however for 90% of situations in my experience sentries are a better choice, they have no travel time, instant damage and good application vs Subcaps.

Fighters I guess might be a better choice post-buff, but its worth pointing out you should always carry sentries regardless.

I'm going to assume you haven't tried them out using omnis with tracking script. They hit almost everything pretty well.

I asked this in another post but have gotten no real answer. do you know if the drone mods still affect fighters when they warp off grid/ are assigned to another player

I believe they do, but I am currently unable to test it to make sure. The fighters still belong to you so it shouldn't be any difference from when you control them yourself while being on grid.
