What made the Bosbogor campaign so entertaining is that in happened on the forums with live updates every few minutes as and when it happened.

You can clearly read how the smug attitude of Winmatar command changes from ‘lol 10 man corp we have a Titan’ to ‘OMG you guys have no life’

Feel free to watch the full ‘live news coverage’ of the war here if you want as Templar Dane throws down the gauntlet for one and all to see.

But to shed some light on what was not mentioned in the forums and to complete this series I will delve into the inner workings of the Bosbogor campaign for everyone from inside Amarrean Vengeance.

To Be Continued..............

Gotta remember your fuel before you undock!

They did manage to bridge onto us later... right as we finished off the ihub and took the system.

Stalking really good read and you know I have most respect for ilaw and avng, especially after fighting in several sieges with avng and as an ex avng member.
But this "all hail fweddit" unnerves me to hell.
They already caused a lot of drama and civil war in July 2012 in militia and bailed out when times were catastrophical in militia.
They were already little awoxers in July 2012. Nothing has changed.
This fweddit attitude "we are fweddit, we are allowed to do everything we want" is ******.
Fweddit ran (and prolly still runs) awox fleets to kill all caldari militia on sight in black rise. I was once even victim of that **** when I was in Nasranite. It damaged the bad relationship between calmil and amarrmil even more.
Not to mention they also kill "accidentally" amarr mili guys...
Their corp culture is .... no words. Once in fweddit coms, never again in fweddit coms.
I really loved my time in amarr militia, with great corps like avng, ilaw, fedaykin, shirak etc.
But fweddit and winmatar in amarr militia was simply too much.
In my opinion even winmatar aren´t as bad as fweddit (in every common sense) and in my opinion even winmatar are only a bunch of little Justin Bibers (remember when they capitulated on coms and were singing Britney Spears songs???).
The only one I can really respect in fweddit is Pinky and he is prolly 99% of fweddits brain.
Fweddit is completely overrated (as long as pinky isn´t the navigator).

My few cents.

Chapter 30 For God, For Empire, For Sahtogas-The Bosbogor Campaign

We were under no illusions in Amarrian Vengeance, this was not going to be a cake walk. We are going up against what was at the time the largest Minmatar Alliance boasting well over 100 members as well as another Alliance that called Bosbogor home Hashashin Cartel.

What we did know was that this Alliance we were going up against was a fragile one. These were not the battle hardened Iron Oxide they were a large group of mission runners that happen to own a titan. But they were numerous and numbers can sway a battle even against the most determined of Invaders.

As the now Infamous POS went up we went all out and bought more ships than we even bought for the famed Arzad Campaign. We could not fail this campaign because unlike others this campaign was made public to one and all in EVE. The gauntlet was thrown down and to back up or lose now would be a detrimental blow the hard earned reputation of Amarrian Vengeance.

As the first few days of battle started the true picture of the numbers we were up against came to light.

Losing a sizable number of ships in the first few days one thing was clear we’re going to need more ships. With the second wave of logistics coming into the system all AVNG carrier pilots were working overtime.

Plex Fight 1
Plex Fight 2

Somewhere along the lines the united coalition thought they will try to remove our POS as somehow someway they thought that if that POS was destroyed the Campaign would end. (we would have just put up another POS if that happened but they didn’t know that). What does not show in that picture is a few fighters. It seems someone thought it was a good idea to assign fighters to their POS bashing fleet fleet. I think you already know where this is going.

This is where having friend’s helps. As you probably already gathered from the picture I posted above I called upon a favor from Predator Elite. (By the way I still owe you for that one pred).

Right in front of their fleet and from inside the pos I jumped into a Buzzard. I mean really do you not seeing this coming? when someone jumps into a buzzard RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FLEET and warps off into the darkness while you have fighters assigned do you really not see this coming?

A few probes out and a
one
two
Kodak moments later this happened.

As the contested rate slowly rose it seemed our tenacity was paying off.

Deciding it was a good time to start playing with their heads Templar Dane started convoing up random Biohazard members from local and the following exchange happened:

Templar Dane: Hey man I will pay you 50 million isk for the evacuation notice

Random Biohazard Pilot: what evacuation notice?

Templar Dane: you mean there wasn’t an evacuation notice?

Random Biohazard Pilot: WTF you talking about?

Templar Dane: I mean we have been watching your station last night and all your corporation Directors and fleet commanders where moving and jumping out from station with a bunch of freighters and industrials you sure there wasn’t an evacuation notice?

Random Biohazard Pilot: No there wasn’t an evacuation notice.

Templar Dane: you sure? cause all the directors are really moving a lot of things out of that station.

One Pilot, Two Pilots, Three Pilots four pilots all getting the same convo from Templar and we watched as the nightshift plexing fleets of the Winmatar slowed down and the amount of small industrials leaving the station to highsec increased.

The trick was to sow the seed that Winmatar command was GTFO’ing and not telling the grunts. And it worked like a charm.
As the amount of resistance slowly waned it was obvious they did not have that many plexing ships in station because we were winning many engagements just by throwing an endless supply of coercers at each plex suiciding them into the blob until they finally ran out of plexing ships.

Templar Dane kept telling them to PLEASE kill more of our ships as we don’t have enough room in the POS for all our ships and most of our ships were still in station and we needed to make room.

Psychological warfare 101.

We were telling them that no matter how many you killed this is not going to stop. Funny thing about it was we were serious to.

Building on the seed planted by Templar Dane and the ‘evacuation notice’ ruse our propaganda machine started subtly reinforcing the notion that the Directors were really lying to the general members of Winmatar and buying time while they evacuated all their precious assets.

As more and more t1 industrials stated moving out. In essence midway through the contested rate we already had the Grunts evacuating and taking whatever small ships they had with them reducing the amount of the already weak reserves of each member as far as plexing ships.

I guess by the second night of the Ruse Winmatar command wised up and probably sent out an EVEmail along the lines of ‘why the eff doesn’t anyone have any plexing ships and why the eff is everyone evacuating?!’

Deciding to give one last push they decided it would be a good idea to try to attack the POS again. I mean didn’t we already go through this? The POS is not going anywhere. This time they thought it would be a good idea to bring one of those little mobile cyno jammer thingies.

It was a slow night in Shadow Cartel and I guess and a little birdy told them where a possible fleet for them to fight was.

As the onslaught of throwaway coercers continued and the contested rate now in the upper 60% range Wimatar command decided maybe it was a good time to reason with us.

We were invited onto their comms. While much was discussed and it was generally friendly banter the message sent to them was that we weren’t leaving until this system was flipped. Trying to invoke the whole ‘your enemy is our enemy’ routine they tried to convince us to go and plex Houla instead with their help. Of course we agreed to that under the condition that they join the amarr and only AFTER we flipped Bosbogor.

Also something something we will pay you ten billion isk if you go plex Houla something something (I am neither confirming nor denying that isk was offered to us. I mean it could have been offered, or it could have been something we made up in the forums as a another propaganda ruse who knows my memory is kind of of hazy).

Seeing the cracks appear all the way up Winmatar chain of command it was time for Templar to pull out one last Ace from his sleeve.

That did it, that video literally won the campaign as any and all resitance to plexing stopped after that video.

As the system became vulnerable a General militia fleet was assembled and the IHUB of Bosboger started getting hammered.

Old habits die hard and a bunch of Winmatar Talwars appeared to try to disperse the IHUB bashing fleet and we decided it was time to give our brothers in the bombers one final Airshow over the IHUB in our Retribution/Vengeance fits the cloaked bombers watched Amarrean Vengeance pilots make short work of the Talwar Fleet.

On the Valentine’s Day 2014.

Bosbogor fell.

And along with it the boogieman that was Winmatar.

July/August2012? My first pvp noob toon (deleted laters) was with iprot and blackwatch in saht.
Tbh it was okay that fweddit left June or July 2012 because, hey they joined a civil war because we were not permitted to shoot galmil in amarr space^^
June or July 2013 during siege of Saht? I immediately came back from calmil to help in Saht.

Dear Flyinghotpocket,

Two years ago you asked me after reading my post on the histories of Caldari Militia when will I make one about the Amarrian Retribution.

My answer to you that day was; if you give me something write about, if you make as much history as Wolfsbrigade did I will write one.

You lived up to your end of the deal along with everyone else that fought under the badge of Amarrian Vengeance in the past two years.

Having lived up to your end of the bargain I lived up to mine now.

You made something massive out of only a handful of pilots. This is my gift to what you created.

To all my co pilots in Amarrian Vengeance stand up and be recognized this is your time to shine you all earned it. I was just another spoke in the wheel.

Dear Amarr Militia,

For far too long you have fought with so little and for those of you that stuck with us through the darkest of times and enjoyed the brightest of Victories I salute you all.

And look forward to flying with you forever.

And with the last few keystrokes in this story I just want to type one thing and one thing only……

Amarr Victor.

Good read, really enjoyed it! Being your perspective, there is a fair bit of bias and some wrongness in there. (In particular, around the FeO titan but The Trant has already covered all that..)
The fight for Arzad stands out as my favourite time in eve, no question. So, so many great fights and the commitment shown by a handful people on both sides was just ridiculous.

If only CCP would make warzone control meaningful, then things like that might happen more often. As it is, there is just not much reason to go in for all that.
