[RAGE POST] You got 3 months to come up with a plan CCP

This is a rage post. I am Raging mad. And no you can not have my stuffs.


How much longer am I going to have to put up with "OFF GRID BOOSTERS"?

Its dam silly now. I am out solo (ish - Corp mates next system where they live) And I find a Condor. Great I think to my self, lets play with that,. Check D-SCAN. Nothing on scan,. I Try and move in to range and before I know it I am warp disrupted at 30KM. Look at D-Scan again. And oh look. A ******* TENGU in to middle of nowhere. I wonder what he is doing.

All I ever see now adays is t1 frigs with warp core stabs farming Faction RUNAWAY FAIR, Or PVP dudes with T3 booster alts. Its ******* stupidly frustrating to have to play this way against such forms of combat. I Am sick of it.

Over 3 years ago. The then lead game designer CCP Soundwave said that "OFF GRID BOOSTING" is bad and it has to go, (He most likely said it a different way, but you get the idea). I Agree that is is bad and it ******* NEEDS TO DIE IN A FIRE.


So CCP Games., You have 3 months to come up with a plan to remove it or I unsub my accounts. ALL OF them.


Again., No., You cant have my stuff.

You may have better luck posting yoru complaint in Featues and Ideas and getting CSM to look into it as well.

I can understand your frustation, however. Lots of things I dont like in EVE myself, but until something better comes along I'll be here.

As another player that also solo roams through lowsec, good riddance to you.

You were prepared to be all fine with having the advantage when you thought you did, but as soon as it turns out you failed to plan for your opponent having the advantage, you come and rage in the forum.

We don't need that.

PS. No KB currently has you losing to a Condor.

i dont know why but this puts me in mind of someone smashing their head against a wall repeatedly and then complaining to the authorities that his head really hurts and that because of this they should remove said wall else he'll sue.

i would agree with you that off grid boosting is annoying but bringing on grid boosting into eve will promote headshotting of boosters as a priority in all engagements, to which ultimate end means - why even have them?

Former CCP Soundwave did have awesome ideas and good sense of direction for eve, but he wasnt able to change off grid boosting (i believe it was a technical hurdle to only have it apply on grid) but to all his ideas he never found something to replace the fleet boosting to the betterment of the game as a whole.

Removing it entirely does sound like an option but all it does is effectively increasing the barrier of entry for ships that are cost efficient in combat, meaning less variety and more stagnant strategic game play.

might as well biomass now. Theyve already said countless times its a technical hurdle. You want them to code faster or something? Monkeys can only slap the keyboard so fast.

Yes, but time and again, it's us players that shows ourselves to be the monkies.

The devs are fine.

Information about links has been public for some time and in lowsec, if there is anyone else is system other than your opponent, it's always best to assume it's links unless you can determine otherwise.

Assume it and plan for it.

I agree with Scipio though that anyone flying in lowsec should be prepared for boosters these days, but I also agree with the OP that boosting needs to be ongrid. However, I'm not a big fan of rage posts and the OP has demonstrated a lack of restraint, both in this very thread and in his supposed reckless engagement of a solo condor. Now, I love being reckless as much as the next guy, but when you go in balls deep, you do so expecting to lose, or you'll be in for a nasty surprise. CCP have already stated boosting is changing, and I can't say I'd have any hard feelings for the OP if he were to quit. I can only imagine EVE becoming a better game without him.

There's a difference between risking a ship, and putting a ship on a field where it will die pretty much instantly.
