Conversely I mine, the more people who explode while mining through being AFK, the better for those of us that don't because we actually play the game. I can point out at least 2 PvPers in this thread that also mine with their alts, I doubt that they're alone in that, ergo your point is moot.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Why is it that non-miners are better at fitting mining barges than miners?

Why is it that those most in favour of more mining buffs are the ones too lazy to utilise previous buffs to mining?

Why do you want to crash the market?

Dont you realise that if you avoided losing your ship you'd be able to mine more?

No complaints here. The barges and income lost by inattentive players has virtually no impact on market prices, because there are many more out there that do pay attention and keep their profit margin intact.

The ships I frequently use, with the exception of some pirate faction ships which saw an increase in popularity with the rebalance, have been declining in cost since I've started playing. Pirate

This thread is a perfect example to demonstrate that everytime carebears receive a buff, instead of making use of the tools available to them to overcome pvp situations, they just come whinging in the forum for more buffs for themselves and more nerfs to others.

Go use what's already available to you and stop QQing in the forum. We are all going to drown soon.

This thread got me curious so I decided to check out the killboards. I am now incredibly amused.

It seems CODE has been losing a crapload of Catalysts to properly tanked Skiffs without getting any satisfaction since the patch, I suggest everyone observe this moment in Eve history for posterity.

Still looking at the killboards and it seems only about 1 in 15 Procurers are being destroyed in high sec, and 7 out of 8 of those are between warring corps.

It also seems to take about 80m isk in Catalysts to suicide gank a 30m Procurer.

I think I'm going to go fit one out and hit the belts, see if I can't bait CODE into thinking I'm AFK. This looks like some virtually risk free PvP.

Miners are at a terrible disadvantage in EVE. The dilemma, how to maximize your mining output while protecting yourself from lulz gankers.

In the world of predator vs prey, EVE favors the predator every time.

I can prove it: Auto WTZ will never be implemented. Why? Not because it makes it easier for the prey, but because it makes it harder for the predator.

Since mining ships have virtually no offensive capabilities, they should have major defensive ones IMO. Mining ships should be as heavily tanked as Deep Space Transports.

Also, I’ve notice there are no hard launcher points on mining ships....I cant fit missiles. So mining ships are left intentionally squishy.

My thoughts abbreviated for the OP. There are multitudes of options; both from the mechanics of the game and through social interaction to achieve your goals. if you're not capable of using them that's not the game's fault. That's your own mistaken assumptions and inaction at play.

So, EVE favors those who take initiative? No ****? Roll

Oh, and by the way. If you play a game and decide to cast yourself in the role of a prey animal, you shouldn't be surprised if the people who cast themselves as predator animals try to eat you. In fact, since you made an active choice to be a prey animal, you should be behaving with this in mind, instead of falling asleep next to the watering hole.
