at you find fun. As a true solo pvp'er you will also become a much better pilot. It does cost more isk though, but nothing in eve feels more awesome than when you outsmart everyone else :D

Or at least be a hell of a lot more patient.

...that was my gripe in low sec....all the damn hunting and waiting around.

And that's a beauty of Eve, you try something, you don't like it, you try something else, until you find your thing.

If only all of those people that are complaining about griefers, demanding nerfs or buffs, more security to hisec, more players in nullsec, more/less of whatever... if all those people just tried to find something that will be fun for them instead of following others and then raging on forums that it didn't work Eve would be home for a lot of happy folks.

Thanks a lot for the input guys.

The 20 punisher plan is actually what inspired me to try something similar. I haven't read through the entire blog yet, but it shows just how much you can learn through trial and error and looking at what you could have done better.

so far I've got a few fit ideas.

[Incursus, solo pvps]
F-aQ Phase Code Tracking Subroutines
F85 Peripheral Damage System I

J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I
X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator
1MN Afterburner II

Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S

Small Ancillary Current Router I
Small Hybrid Ambit Extension I
Small Hybrid Collision Accelerator I

Hobgoblin II x1

With my current skills:
149/169 DPS
1085/1413 m/s
2347 EHP
Cap stable at 67%

I think this ship would be best suited to go against webless frigates and droneless cruisers. At least that's the goal.

[Tristan, Another pvps]
Small Armor Repairer II
Damage Control II
Adaptive Nano Plating II

1MN Afterburner II
'Langour' Drive Disruptor I
Initiated Harmonic Warp Scrambler I

Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
Small 'Knave' I Energy Drain
Small 'Knave' I Energy Drain
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S

Small Ancillary Current Router I
Small Ancillary Current Router I
Small Anti-Explosive Pump I

Hobgoblin II x1

97/109 DPS
886/1155 m/s
3194 EHP
Cap stable at 35% as long as my target has cap to drain.

The tristan seems to be a lot more resiliant, but is slower and doesn't deal nearly as much dps as the incursus.

the last one I came up with for when I feel like being slow is a vexor with about 270 dps, small blasters, and 2 med nuets.

[Vexor, New Setup 1]
Medium Armor Repairer II
Damage Control II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II

Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive
Warp Disruptor II
Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Cap Booster 800

Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
50W Infectious Power System Malfunction
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
50W Infectious Power System Malfunction
Light Neutron Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S

Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I

Warrior II x5
Hornet EC-300 x5
Hammerhead II x5

274 DPS and a killer active tank, and can easily cap out a cruiser. Just a thoerycraft though so we'll have to see how it works.

FOUND IT!

so far I've got a few fit ideas.

one is a speed tanked incursus with about 130 dps and 2600 ehp

one is a dual nuet tristan with about 90 dps and 4200 ehp

the last one I came up with for when I feel like being slow is a vexor with about 270 dps, small blasters, and 2 med nuets.

I don't have the fits handy right now. I'll post them next time I get a chance.

Train up heavy drones and you can get the DPS to around 500-600 with blasters.

Thing is the blaster Incursus gets raped by pretty much any frigate be it Rifter to Punisher, that's something I've learned after extensive Incursus use.

But the railgun Incursus is a beast; 125s, afterburner, scram web, DC and an overdrive you get like 150 dps at the edge of scram range and most Rifter die in like 20 seconds... so I would use that if I were you

Oh and BTW I've lost hundreds of frigates and I still can't figure out how not to die I still keep getting killed often for stupid reasons like just today I forgot there was a destroyer buff and thought I could take on this idiotic Thrasher pilot in my Enyo (which was never a problem before the boost)... it was a close fight; got his shields pretty much all the way down (and I suspect he may have been without a DC) but for a while I was wondering why I lost and then it hit me 'destroyer boost' OMG. Those things do like 500 dps now...

Anyway yeah go for Incursus first, then the Ishkur and after the Ishkur go for the Enyo which is actually better than the Ishkur but it takes some experience to know how, so the Ishkur will be a better first step after the Incursus cause it's easier to use for a less enlightened pilot. EDIT: or actually just use whatever you want Idunno why I'm trying to sway you to use the Enyo lol

HA! Pfff, at least my lie was plausible... but even someone as terrible as me would not lose to your Thrasher when my Enyo has 800 DPS, 5km optimal 6km falloff and 7.5k EHP, so the lie you told is just blatant and goofy whereas a Thrasher these can actually get near 500 dps (400 +, anyway)

Man oh man I wish we ran into eachother BEFORE the buff... then I wouldn't have to put up with your snobby bullshit.

PS I loved Highly Addictive II :)

TBH its because you seem surprised you died to an anti-frigate platform. Sure you can kill thrashers with your fit, if they are stupid and load up fusion/PP/EMP ect so they cant hit you at range. Anybody who has flown or fought them knows the best way to kill em. sitting still at 5km is not it, just sayin. overloaded ur looking at 300 dps with the right ammo, and still getting good dps at 10km.

I WISH YOU COULD REALISE THAT AN ENYO WITH NO TANK OR RANGE CONTROL WILL NOT BEAT ANY COMPETENT THRASHER PILOT, BOOST OR NOT

That's exactly my point; the tactic I used against you today would have been perfectly sound before Crucible - I've done it and I've got KMs to prove it - but the fact of the matter is I was completely unaware of the Destroyer boost, giving you an "unfair" advantage, granted merely a psychological advantage. The truth is before the dessie boost I'd soloed many a Thrasher with that setup and hardly ever had to lift a finger, which is why I was somewhat careless; then I got flustered and by the time I tried to escape I was exploding. Dessies were always anti-frigate ships, but they were not always anti-assault ships, now it seems it's going to be a lot harder to fight them in Enyos and Wolfs.

Anyway I'm done with this thread, we're cluttering up what used to be a peaceful discussion.
