What is the point?

All I am saying is that its a hell of a lot easier to do what the farmers do as you will earn a lot more isk in a much shorter time period which leaves more time to go pew pew

All you´re saying is "Do as the farmers do. You will hate yourself and the game after 30 minutes and quit EVE because you think it is soo boring"

To some, efficiency is its own reward.

Should I train into PI and set up planets in lowsec near jita?

Funny nobody catches on to what you planned yourself. If you primarily live in lowsec you might as well look at tax rates and install yourself a little carebear corner close to where you pew. Proximity to hubs is not that big a deal IMO, the skills to train PI and appropriate hauling ships is more of a pain if your focus is PVP. If your plans are mainly to welp T1 frigates however, you will find doing PI with a little forethought into it will pay off. Incomes vary based on the market, your losses, and what setup you can run with your SP, so it's hard to indicate an actual income. I skilled into it with "everything at IV" and still find it worth the extra effort, making 100-200m every month without really trying. That being said, I have patience and market stock by now so I'm in no rush to buy 100 Merlins. In the long run PI will pay for a lot of cheap hulls if you can live with the clickfest every day or two.

Damn. 200m a month is the pits. I wouldn't bother with that unless it hauled itself. Lol

Me and a couple of friends are doing DED sites and getting around 300m an hour from them.

Since recently taking up some PvE activities to help fund my pvp, I'm also finding DED sites to be good.

Some can be solo'd easily and others it's best to have at least 1 other person, but the income is good, specially when there are Vindicator BPCs, faction drops and escalations.

NPC nullsec is a great place to earn income to support pvp.

I am running PI on 6 planets, manufacturing and anom/sig running and it's more than covering my pvp activities each month.

Before that I was buying PLEX to inject ISK to cover the cost of lost ships. The last couple of months I haven't been fighting as much, specially solo, but normally I lose about 600 million - 1 billion in ships each month. I can now cover that through PvE.

Yeah, I injected a plex not long ago, I got a POS with it so that I can do some moon mining where I'm setting up shop in NPC null. I'll be using the income from moon poop, PI, and DED sites which should give me at least 1-3b a month.
