Faction Warfare Discounts

My manufacturing based corp is in factional warfare. We only have a couple people that actually undock ad participate in the fun, but we have an enormous amount of products based on what you would expect to see in this aspect of the game. We do not wish to make profit on these pre-fitted ships (T1 cruiser is the largest size we are making for this purpose, so it isn't that big of a deal). Is there a way to create contracts for others participating for your faction only?

If it works the same as in player alliances then you can restrict the contract to your alliance. Assuming you are in that NPC FW alliance then you can sell to it.

There is no "public" standings based contracts although the major power-blocks have been asking for these for a while.

That may come in handy in the future, but the information you provided is perfect. Thank you.

If my corp joined the FW it will automatically be put in the alliance after the next downtime from the application I am assuming.

I dont know - I have never done FW.

Do note, however, that all you will achieve with selling to your "FW alliance" at discount is people buying up your stuff and reselling it at proper market price. Not to rain on your parade or something. It is just that as far as I understand anyone can basically join FW alliance without you having any control over it and that includes all kinds of alts, including some who are not as idealistic about fighting for their faction.

In traditional null sec alliances where this scheme is used abusing the system gets usually the culprit removed. Either with or without his corporation (if corporation refuses to kick the guy).

Edit: On the other hand you could try to find a player alliance in FW and see if they are interested joining that. That would give you the same kind of diciplinary measures for people abusing the system and some kind of input filter as not anyone can just join it out of blue.

Any half-assed militia alt can also accept these contracts

No, you do not join an alliance, thus you cannot create an alliance wide contract that only your militia can see.

If I left my corp and joined FW solo, being put in that NPC FW corp, could I open contracts to corp or does it function more like other NPC corps? Suppose it doesn't actually matter.

I guess at this point in time I should re-think the entire process anyway, as there is too much room for scandal (I mean really its only a few million at a time but I see it happening now that I consider it more).

Perhaps I will offer anyone who looses a ship setup that I can manufacture a sale to replace it at no profit.

If you sell your goods out of stations that the enemy militia can't dock at then you can get some of what you're after. Of course hauling alts will get the goods anyways.

Not only that, but to be truly useful to your militia the ships you sell will have to move around the warzone regularly depending on where they are needed, and be properly fitted which from your post would be the first hurdle.

IMHO just put goods on the market at jita prices in stations your militia controls. this stops the neutral alt thing and is benefitting your militia quite a bit.

If you know who the major corps and alliances in your faction are, you could sell directly to the leadership of those corps for posting as corp/alliance contracts.

... and this link is a great way to find those corporations / alliances for each faction.

..well you could post in the Features & Ideas discussion on contracts.

Personally I think there should be an additional choice to contract "to Militia". It would give FW corps more reason to run industrial divisions. it would mean fitted ships could be sold to your own militia only, right where they're wanted.

I posted such on page 12 of the thread Make "Contract to Militia" possible

Feel free to quote my post, in the same thread, if you think it should be possible to contract to Militia.

OP...

It's very altruistic to want to do things for your corp, alliance, faction, etc....

However, taking care of your own needs first will be the best way to benefit your group.

Make ISK wherever you can, do not short yourself out of fair market values for your efforts, loot, time, materials...
