The current "This week in EVE" gives on overview of the week from June 14th to June 20th

Dev blogs
  • Alliance Tournament XII - Teams revealed - Forum discussion
  • The Alliance Tournament XII is approaching swiftly with the first fights starting on August 16th. CCP Gargant informs us about the teams that will compete against each other in this epic fight for fame and prizes.

  • Upcoming API Changes for Industry - Forum discussion
  • CCP FoxFour informs us about API related updates in preparation for the Crius release on July 22nd. Due to industry changes with Crius access to various information via the API is going to change as well. All the details to prepare for this API change are available in the blog.

  • Starbase changes for Crius - Forum discussion
  • Major changes will come to Industry with the Crius release and with that you will also see tweaks and changes to player-owned starbases (POS). More efficient reprocessing arrays, new compression arrays, bonuses for industry related structures, removal of faction standing restrictions on anchoring POS and more is discussed in this blog by CCP Ytterbium.

News

Devposts on the forum
[list]
  • Moon mining arrays in 0.4 security space with Crius?
  • CCP Greyscale confirms that with Crius you will be able to anchor and operate moon harvesting arrays in systems that have a security rating of 0.4. Pre-Crius it was only possible to run those structures in systems with a security rating lower than 0.4.

  • State of Crius release on the test server Singularity
  • CCP Greyscale comments on the current state of Crius features available on the test server. The Crius release was deployed to the test server very early to gather as much feedback as possible even if that means that the code running on the test server is more or less a snapshot of the developers work from the previous day.

  • Anchoring POS at moons in all systems - except in Jita
  • CCP Paradox confirms that it will be possible to anchor POS at every moon (except for Jita) regardless the corporation faction standing towards the space owning faction. You will be able to anchor a POS even in system which is blacklisted for deployment of player owned custom offices.

  • Tooltips - useful information and customization
  • CCP Rise explains that proper tooltip customization (which satisfies all the different use cases) is not an easy task but currently worked on.

  • Improvements to tooltips
  • CCP karkur has further good news regarding tooltip improvements that got already deployed on Tranquility and explains some of improvement details. Further work is in progress! The player "Worrff" comes forward with a customization suggestion.

  • Exploration Relic / Data site post Kronos
  • Questions about the exploration sites and its content are answered with good details by CCP Bayesian: in Odyssey the frequency of drops were doubled, with Kronos the frequency of drops was reduced by 30% (except for blueprints that were unchanged). Hacking attempts have gone up considerably from 65k a day to 100k a day. Loot table balance for general exploration is something that needs some review.

  • Change to blueprint copy runs and invention with Crius
  • CCP Greyscale explains that with the Crius release it is no longer required to use maximum-run blueprint copies for invention in order to get maximum run T2 blueprint copies. Instead per default you will get a maximum-run T2 copy after a successful invention event (decryptor influence aside) if you use just a single-run T1 copy blueprint....

How to connect to the test server Singularity
    Test server rules
    Bug reporting

    Crius on Singularity
    Current known issues
    MISMATCH_COST error installing industry jobs

    • Industry Landscape
    • Relevant dev blogs: The Price of Change and Team up: Industry Work Teams - Prices of industry jobs are calculated based on industrial activity in the system. Higher industry activity results in higher job installation costs. Worker Teams can be hired to improve the job efficiency.

    • Little Things from Team Super Friend
    • At the moment two "Little Things" can be tested: (1) A flag for you to set which will exclude you from being fleet warped. (2) You can now fit modules (including rig) to ships even if you do not have the required skills to use those modules.

    • Manufacturing and general UI feedback
    • Relevant dev blogs: Building better Worlds and Industry UI - The new Industry UI is now available to be tested! Extra material from blueprints is removed, market groups are cleaned up and damage to R.A.M. / Rd.B. items is removed.

    • Reprocessing
    • Relevant dev blog: Reprocess all the things! - The formula for refining/reprocessing has been changed considerably. Compression is working in a different way. The UI for reprocessing has been completely reworked and considerably improved.

    • Research
    • Relevant dev blogs: Researching, the Future and Blueprint data adjustments. The open ended Material Efficiency and Time Efficiency system is completely overhauled and replaced by a 10 and 20 level system. Blueprint ranks are adjusted, material waste is removed. Also the copy times of blueprints receive a large revamp. A better indicator of invention success/failure will be added.

    • Starbases
    • Changes to Starbases will be part of the Crius release. The various assembly arrays will receive bonus with reduced material waste or even material requirement reduction. The cargo space of the assembly arrays is also increased, in some cases considerably. Research labs receive a bonus to faster research.

    It's Friday again \o/
    Thanks CCP Phantom!

Trigger happy as I was, here's the deutschsprachige Übersetzung again.

No Week in EVE #50 - Week 26/2014 so far, at least not the English language Version by Phantom.
I took the opportunity to create one for Week 26/2014 in English here, and also für die deutschsprachige Community.

    Another great summary. Thank you.

CCP's sand box is EVE Online.  The sand is owned by CCP.  We pay them a monthly fee to throw the sand at each other.  That is all that is here, so move along. Nothing more to be seen.

There still doesn't seem to be an off switch to many of the functions that players have been asking for.

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.
