Rorqual changes?

Will the rorqual revamp/buff be hitting with Crius, or is that being pushed back again? It was mentioned originally to be coming with Kronos, but then I had a bluepost say that it was being pushed back to Crius. Are we still on schedule with that and information on the changes intended on making the rorqual useful beyond just ganglinking from a pos, and they'll come out later this month, or has that been forgotten about/scrapped?

What 'big' Rorqual changes? Last I heard they wanted to do something with the Rorqual but no-one had a clue on what that 'something' should be. I don't think we should expect to see it changed anytime soon.

The only Rorqual related change coming in Crius is that compression lines no longer require blueprints.

They did not specify what the change is, but it was very clear that it was not the blueprint requirement change. You'll forgive me if I take the word of CCP staff over yourself until another dev posts confirmation on whether the rorqual changes have been pushed back or not. I believe it was at fanfest that they mentioned that the rorqual would be receiving an overhaul or changes intended to make it desirable to have it actually in the belt with mining operations instead of just sitting in a pos boosting. Given that CCP have stated that it is not their intention to make mining links need to be on grid to have effect, it seems likely that they are planning some sort of buff, though at this point we can only speculate what it might be, considering short of dramatically shortening the cycle time of industrial cores, noone is going to sit a rorqual in a belt and boost, let alone the fact that noone would anyway even without any cycle time on the indy core, short of some actual advantage of being there.

Basically they're making the essential tweaks to make the Rorqual work under the new Industry system, but the full role and ships stats won't be changed until a future balancing pass.

The only tweak I've seen on it so far has been the compression change. Kronos was the summer expansion however, and the post where CCP said that it would come with crius does post-date the reprocess all the things blog by two months. I'm hopeful they'll be able to sneak it in with crius still, or at the very least give us a sneak peak of what they intend, you know?

Rorqual will take a very long time to fix and i would not expect it this year. The ship needs a complete redesign and that is a long process.

Just take a look at the revelation it is clearly broken, It does worse damage than both other turret dreads at close range and long range while using tons more cap. It wont get fixed for months and all it takes is a couple of number tweaks. Instead we are stuck with a ship which we are told not to train by our FC's.

Last I heard, they where waiting for some mechanic changes to go live, before they could do any changes to the rorq.
