Isn't it about time we sorted cap boosters?

Small have nice smooth 50s for a nice punch of a 400, meds and a smooth run on 100s or 15s and a one time punch of 800, BS get 5/6 large bursts of cap.

I feel that frigs and BS are getting a balanced amount, i really feel cruisers are being boned here, clearly less than a cruiser needs esp one that NEEDS cap, the reload cycle is a main part of its operation since it can fit only one.

how about extending the medium charge hold to half a heavy, so med named can hold 2 and a t2 can hold 3.

med armor and shield reps are hard on cruisers and BC atm and its cus of cap and their tanks arnt even that outrageous: looked at marauders lately?

I can barely tell what you're trying to say but mediums fit 3x400s or 1x800 as it is.

I agree, the Med. Cap Booster does need to hold more cap charges. That module can barely hold a proper amount of appropriately sized charges in comparison to the Small and Heavy that it isn't even worth using.

okay so: what i mean is:

Its messed up that no one uses "the right size" we all use a single or two of the largest we can cram and wait for the cycle, thats not how weapons or in fac anything else is balanced, i think ASB's only work the way they do because cap charges are so messed up.

cant we have a medium booster that holds 5 charges and boosts a bit faster to get a similar cap gain averagely, remeber when missiles could have any missile size in only the amount goes up and down due to capacity - well ccp changed that - so why can we use oversized charges in boosters still?

Micro can hold 1x 200, Small 1x 400, Medium 1x 800, Heavy 5x 800
This can extend a bit if you use Navy Charges; but that was part of the Cap Booster Rebalance what nearly 2 years ago now.

Honestly they work just fine as they also now have 10sec Cycle with 12 Sec Reload.
This means the max for each is:
Micro +9/s, Small +18/s, Medium +36/s and Heavy +65/s

Which to be honest is perfectly fine, especially as now they can hold 2 Sizes larger than they originally could; this provides far better GJ/s at a much lower PG / CPU cost. Although it is strange to have not seen Micro Boosters actually start getting produced so they're not ridiculous prices anymore.

Rather than requesting an improvement to the Cap Boosters, actually I think a better Range of Boosters might be better.
For example, I would like to see a 1,000 and 1,600 Cap Boosters; perhaps a 600 as well.

I'd second this. Cruisers/BC usually don't even have the mids to plug in the two CBs you need to run a matching size SB (XL).

Also, many frigs have similar cargo hold to cruisers, some even have ******** amounts of space (hawk for example). As a BC, cap consumption goes up by 300-400%, cap boosting goes up by 100%, cargo hold goes up by 0-50% in comparison to a hawk...

I dont really have a problem with the cap amounts, perhaps medium could do with a boost since medium reps and such drink juice like crazy on a cruiser sized cap.

Dont you think its weird how the normal operation of these includes the reload as part of it?

Why not just let mediums fit 3 800s or somthing and have a longer cycle?

I dont fire one missile and reload, do you?

I still fail to understand what the problem is.

You fit upsized mods all the time. Hell, cruisers fit 1600mm plates frequently, is that a problem too?

Yes tbh.

Cruisers fit one plate and sacrifice, BS fit it easy peasy but one is never enough.
