Paying for the lifetime subscription.

Wait, what? That's an option?

You could buy that on the FanFest silent auction many years ago. I missed out on it as I was hoping it would be available again the year after. It never returned.

Would be smart for them to sell lifetime subs... We all know this game wont be around in 5 years.

Theorising with a friend about anti-gank mining setups during my first Hulkageddon while drinking copious amounts of navy rum.

Waking up and logging in the next day to find myself docked in Eldulf in Molden Heath in a full ****** miner-fit Rokh with no recollection of the previous night or ever owning said Rokh.

Still, it could have been worse. At least I didn't go with the mining Machariel lolsetup we joked about.

I tackled and killed 2 hulks and a retriever before I killed the orca allowing the 2nd hulks pilot to leave and get his drake. Needless to say I stuck around thinking I could kill the orca before I died, I popped with the orca at 30% hull.

Shoulda killed the orca first the hulks were no real danger to me.

It would have been easier and much shorter response to ask me what are some good decisions I have made.Big smile

Hmm, I would have to say the worse decision would have to be a series of decisions that set off a chain of unfortunate events which involved me trying to settle a score with a few griefers, and in the end costing me much more than it would have, not to mention me being the catalyst in wrecking two noob corps I convinced to go to war with said griefers.

MISTAKES WERE MADE!Cool

I am much more learned now then I was then. I owe some of that "education" to that particular event.

Going after a titan which landed in bubbles on my own. Seemed like a good idea 'til I learned how useless some (former) blues were back in the day.

Bumping fun was had, desperate calls for support were made and ultimately a fleet was bridged ontop of me.

Obviously not a forum / spy / market alt ...

Mine is actually pretty simple.

Background: I started eve shortly after launch in 2003, mined and built, got my first Dominix, Megathron, then Covetor when the mining barges came out, was a near-perfect skilled Ishtar pilot and such around the time I quit.

I returned 4-5 years later, decided to jump straight into 0.0 to give me more fun in the game and I ended up in a renter-corp in the drone lands out by Oasa. I flew a few of my ships out there and joined my corp in mining and ratting.

One night whilst ratting, I dropped my 6year old, self-built dominix into the corp pos, got my itty and went out cleaning up the last of the goodies, it was late and I went to bed, was going to grab my dominix tomorrow.

When I returned tomorrow, someone had stolen several of the ships out of the ship hanger on the POS (never found out who). Now the loss of a dominix to me really didn't matter, ISK wasn't in short supply, but I felt a particular attachment to that Domi, which was 6+ years old and had built myself back in the days when it was a sign of experience and wealth to own a battleship and I was proud to get my bpc and create my own.

I still miss my original domi, which some dirtbag probably repackaged and sold on the market, erasing it's history and my fond memories with it.

I have it. You can buy it back for only 1 bil.

Having just returned to the game after a 5 year break I do some research and put a REAL fit on my cherished Harbinger so I can do some mission running to get a feel for the game again. (Fitting combat vessels was never a strong skill for me, I was a miner)

I'm passing through a 0.4 sector and I decide to take a peek in a combat site and find three Mordu's BS's that instantly start targeting me.

I align and hit warp ... *warp scrambled*

Hit the microwarp and try to run.

Feeling absolutely helpless as I lost a 6 year old ship to random NPC rats really hurts you know?

since the advent of the duel in EVE, there have been a plethora of cans and wrecks floating about at the major trade hubs. as a good citizen, i feel its my duty to help keep our loading and unloading areas free of debris......since i usually travel in unmarked, low key, go fast boats...the occasional grab n' go isnt out of the question, found 2 plex that way. lol sue me.....anyway, the other evening after several "adult beverages" i was hopping back to my mission base in my shiny new navy drake....this thing is a blast as a mission brawler, clobbers everything, i love it.....it cost three arms and a leg.
as im exiting amarr family, headed home, i see a yellow wreck in front of me closing fast as i finish my "beverage", "hmmmm, whats in that?" i wondered, i hit the button.......buncha loot, cant remember what now, its kind of a blur....didn't even think.....loot.....
the flag pops no biggie, lol.....then i realize. im in a drake..........a drake. the arizona desert tortoise is faster than a drake...theres about 42 milliseconds of calm......then concord is everywhere. i turned on all her really expensive modules and watched painfully as it took 45 seconds to turn her to dust......seemed like a good idea at the time.

kill em all.

Late, tired, but I wanted to buy that one last fitting for my ship before I logged off. I don't even know what it was except something completely unimpressive, like an armor hardener or something. I see it on sale in Jita for 800,000. Buy.

My wallet cries.

I look again. It was 800,000,000.

So I don't buy things while half asleep anymore.

I undocked as a rookie and took from a can marked "Free Stuff" on station, pretty much immediately. I guessed it was some sort of trap, was just curious. It was quite disappointing when no-one came to kill me. I pouted for a bit.

Returning to a DED plex which I know to have been scanned by pilots hunting me.

It seems like a good idea EVERY time I do it and I KEEP doing it. As my loss mail attests.

oh god, I almost did that the other day with a Probe. It said 500,000,000 not 500,000 lol luckily I caught it beforehand.

Not my biggest mistake, but just the other day I thought "Hey let's check out this new Mordu Legion site, I'm sure my Astero will be able to handle whatever pops up...." Worst part is I didn't even realize what was happening as my overview was borked...

Off to Dodixe to buy a new Astero....

Sign up for ISD. The end result was having considerable less time for playing EvE.
