That is because I am tip toeing in order to start an actual conversation relevant to EVE. The way certain things are changing is bad and we should (no have to) be permitted to talk about it.

Here I was thinking you were having to be careful what you said in fear of being kicked from your corporation or alliance. Then I realized you were just an npc alt.

The eve stupidity is also growing. Considering the link displayed in my sig for all to see and my lengthy corp history, I cannot fathom how you could make a statement like that and keep a strait face.

So that means I can bring up AFK cloaking and discuss it?

Sure, though why anyone would need to talk about such a non topic is beyond me lol.

Because discussions drag on too long, Eve is dying.

Wait..whut?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Because there are things to discuss in terms of game balancing. Like cloaks using no fuel and no cap, were as all other active mods do. Remote repair mods do not have a stacking penalty, where as all other targeted mods do. Low Sec can still be improved upon and so can mission in empire for that matter. There are many topics.

Closing the doors on these discussions instead of removing the trolls that derail them is not the correct course of action. It will not make EVE better for anyone.

(Thinking, deleting.... thinking... Ok ummm....)

At what point does a discussion become done? When is it necessary to only see a topic via the search function? I seem to recall a general discussion alive with the current topics of the day. Like because of Falcon as an example, shortly there after we would see an expansion that addressed the forum uproar and suggestions there in.

Since this can no longer happen... I now have serious doubts about EVE's future.

Discuss and lock. I said it as delicately as I can.

When the discussion is over. . .of course

Sometimes you just have to realized you undocked and you suck. . .

A topic reaches final analysis when it hits the following point in time-space.

"As high as the highest heavens, and from the center to the circumference of the earth."

Roll

Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

And it's been discussed over and over and over and over again.

The people 'discussing' (aka whining about) it aren't trying to discuss game balance issues. They want ccp to fix something for them that they should be figuring out how to deal with themselves.

In many of those discussions i posted ship fits and discussed tactics to minimize and even eliminate the risk posed by afk cloakers, things I use to ignore them while avoiding losing my ships. Like for example my warp core stabbed MJD FoF missile sentry boat Phoons and 'Geddons for ratting.

The 'fix afk cloaking' crowd would have none of it, they don't want solutions, they want an unbalanced 'gift' from CCP that would allow them to carebear their asses off in space that is supposed to be unsafe (null sec).

Cloaks and AFK cloakers are fine (if annoying). What really needs fixing are the attitudes of the people who come to a game that is based on figuring things out who then refuse to figure things out.

Where lT = length of topic and tF = trolls for idea and tA = trolls againt idea:

lT = (tF*tA)c^2

c, of course, is the speed of light.

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

I see 2 problems, you forgot to carry the 1, and you are failing to compensate for tH (trolls who are in it for humor alone and have no strong feelings either way.)

Ah, this is my theory of special threadability. I'll have to rework a new theory of general threadability that will account for tH and carry the 1.

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

The speed of light can be rather unimpressive at times.

(Sorry for the format, phones are hard)
In a year and half of lurking and shiptosting I have never seen this happen here,
maby I'm blind and/or illiterate and always miss it but I haven't seen it here once,
now I'm certain there's an evequivilant but nothing one can point at and say " we're done here" with as much certainty.

As for the op, the discussion is over when you have no one to have one with.
A lot of us are simply not going to entertain certain topics without an engaging and thought provoking op which brings something new
as the ins and outs of them have been soo thoroughly bickered about and repeatedly covered that there's literally no point in doing it again for your (or whoever's) benefit.

Now iv been here a fraction the time of some of ye and I'm ******* sick of afk cloaking threads, I can only imagine how some of ye feel about them.

So yes , Marshas reply was completely legitimate and you should be thankful this thread hasn't been incinerated by this point

That is absolutely fascinating, in line with femto photography. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Likewise, my theory now needs work to include a new term tD to account for thread derailment.

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.
