Bastion Module causing a "dropped" volley

This has happened a few times to myself, and was wondering if it has happened to others, it's a bug,.. or is "working as intended".

Engaging the Bastion Module while firing upon hostiles causes a volley (of Torpedoes in this instance) to just trail off into oblivion and not apply any damage.

Is this supposed to happen, or should I be letting someone know?

It may be a bug since the missiles that were fired may have had a range of 30km but once Bastion is activated, missile range increases and the missiles might bug out because of the chsnge

I'm thinking along the same lines,.. engaging the Bastion Module has the missiles recalculate where they "should be" on their flight path,.. said volley is lost, or perhaps put "past" target,.. therefore no damage done.

I'll try runnin' a ticket,..

This sounds similar to the Siege bug with Citadel missiles, where missiles would "fail" if you activated / deactivated Siege when they're in-flight.

So they band-aid fixed the siege issue without fixing the actual underlying bug in the game.

IIRC, it was "working as intended" and they didn't fix it. Something to do with breaking formulas

It's not a bug. It's an absence of common sense. There is no logical reason to assume your missiles in flight will inherit the buffed effects.

But there's no reason to assume your missles in flight will vanish when you activate a local module.

Applying affects isn't the issue at all, the issue is that volleys in flight disappear completely. This includes volleys to targets well within range without bastion.

I guess I just never activate Bastion while shooting, because I haven't had that happen to me.

I notice it quite a bit, the only real nuisance I can think of on the Golem. Seems to happen when both entering and exiting bastion.

Note that the volleys don't visually disappear, at least in my case. They just do no damage and provide no hit notification. You still "see" them hit the target.

Is it the same thing that happens when you initiate warp? If so perhaps they are the same issue.

Not facts, just supposing.
