Hi All,

So I'm thinking of gearing my Explo up into a Stratios.

Would like to check some things:

C1 and C2 can be solo'd in a Stratios, assuming competent fit and good drone skills?

Up to what level of CosAnom combat can one solo in a Stratios?

Apart from Data/Relic sites, and some other Meta PVP things, minor PvP will also be on the cards.

What else should I think of, as well as obvious pitfalls and tips?

MOBILE DEPOT. One ship, 14 fits 8)

Also, get a TP or targeted ECM if you don't want to manage your drones.

A yurt goes without saying indeed. Explain what you mean by the don't manage drones comment? Don't understand what you mean here.

The payout for anoms in c1-2 space being what they are, you will never pay off that Stratios before it gets killed.

He was saying that you should fit ECM (Jaming) module, or keep it in cargo and refit with Mobile Depot as you wish, so you project the module on the Sleepers and try to jam them, so your ship will keep the aggro and not your drones. It's a good tactic if you have a spare mid slot, and don't want to micro manage your drones ( Recall them every time when sleepers start shooting at them ).

To be perfectly honest, I don't have the time I had back in my student days to play eve. Just want to have some fun playing eve and roaming through null/low etc. I can always shell out a few bucks for a plex = 700mil. Most of my income will be from data/relic in null/low anyway. I'm fine with luck being a factor and finding something every now and then that makes me go wow: I played Diablo a lot, always been a sucker for fat loot ;-), so stumbling upon a high value site once in while increases fun for me.

The argument is noted though. What IS the payout on C1-C2 anyways?

Aside: everyone only seems to care about isk/hour with the cheapest ship possible. Min/Maxing everything makes jack a very dull boy, but that's just my opinion. Still, your point is valid of course.

As for doing sites in a stratios, C1/C2 will be easy, even c3 can be done imho. There's a nice thread with PvE info growing on this very board, and it has links to eve survival and churker.dk, where you can find the DPS and ships you will be facing. As for ISK/h, C1 and C2 sites mostly produce ISK with nanoribbons, so make sure you salvage all the wrecks.

Yep, if you're just looking to have fun, knock yourself out. I use the astero as my go to wormhole scout and am a big fan of the SOE ships.

As for min/max, I approach PVE that way because it is the boring counterpart to PVP so I want to make as much ISK in as short a period as possible so I can get back to spending that ISK on ships to go wreck. Part of maximizing income is minimizing losses over time, as you certainly will lose ships running anoms and so it has to be taken into your calculation. Think of lost ships as your variable cost of running sites.

C1 and C2 sites are worthless,
You can do highsec explo sites but not lowsec ones

Biggest flaw of stratios & basicly the soe ships; mandatory armor tank. Running more DDA's > armor tank 90% of the time. Recently buffed by omni tracking enhancers.

I personally would run an armor tank for Stratios even in solo PvP situations. Take advantage of as many bonuses as possible meanwhile maintaining the ability to fit EWAR. I'm not going to do research on a phone, but first ship that comes to mind that I would fit as close as possible to is a double web Deimos. Obviously with lasers though.
