I know this just got announced today!

But would love an official CCP thread from their mac team!

Things I would love to see/read (if possible)

1: When you all get your hands on the new OS.
2: How EVE runs
3: Improvements to Cider
4: etc...

Once the OS comes out (I might even grab the public beta, if EVE works on it), I would love to jump in and help provide game performance information to CCP so they can keep making EVE work great!

I am sure there are many others as well who would love to give of their time!

what would be really amazing is if there was an EVE widget that could allow one to see and change the training of skills, monitor the eve market and what not in the new Notifications Centre.

If a skill training was completed we'd get a little notification, or if a sell order went through, eve mails, etc... all piping up in the Notifications Centre.

I'm not able to run eve on my MacBook Pro 15" Retina late 2012 with OS X 10.10.
I just downloaded the client and installed it, everything works fine so far. But i can not launch EVE. I Get an error telling me that the file is corrupted.

But, the final version of 10.10 isn't even out yet...
latest release is at 10.9.3

I can confirm that eve works fine on developer preview of OS X 10.10 on my late 2013 15-inch macbook pro with GeForce GT 750M. In fact, it freezes sometimes (I guess it's something that is discussed in neighbour thread), but not more often than with OS X 10.9.3.

Nope, I'm using existing installation.

Speaking of "file is corrupted" error, I experienced it only once on OS X 10.9 and I fixed it by downloading the installer again.

Running EVE on 10.10 here fine, Developer Preview 1, I find EVE runs smoother on it, although I seem to get more hangs more often.

Downloaded installer, installed and it ran fine.

After trying it again and again i found the solution to solve my problem... for some reason OS X 10.10 installed eve in an incorrect way... it just copies the ENTIRE datas included in the iso instead of just the eve game and the required files. i had a 100% copy of the iso content in my "application" folder...

Did you check your security settings to make sure the Mac will allow all downloaded programs to run?

Check your security settings...had similar problem and it was an easy fix.

My big problem is that apparently my Retina display can be set "too high" of a resolution so it causes a black screen (video card not engaging). GM asked me to change my display settings...will let you guys know how that goes as well.

Great idea, Erin. +1

It could run very similar to NEOCOM for iPad or perhaps EVEmon....that would be really nice.

I'd rather they focus on the current unusable client before they work on anything else. Keeping it from locking up and requiring a force quit every few minutes (regardless of what you are doing) would be a good start.
