Dual Boxing Advice

Hey, just getting back into Eve and was looking for some advice on how to manage/self-sustain two accounts while dual-boxing. Basically, I want them to pay for themselves in ISK by being able to purchase 2 time cards in game a month.

Currently I have an experienced pilot flying a the top rated Maelstrom loadout on this site and all his SP are in support of Minmatar/Gunnery/Engineering.

My Second pilot was initially training mining and is up to being able to fly a Hulk properly fitted, as well as cross trained in Noctis capabilities, and also some SP in an Osprey with mediocre RAR capabilities for the mael.

I'm probably going to stick with the maelstrom and turn pilot 1 into a mach, but ...
My question to you guys is, which route would be the most profitable to take the second pilot? I have a dual-screen setup, so microing both pilots is not an issue.

Should I stick with Noctis/Salvaging and train up manufacturing? I have no skills in that so far, but heard mention that manufacturing could make enough/month to support an account?

Or would turning her into a combat pilot and flying both into missions guns hot be better?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions. :)

P.S. - General response on battleclinic was 'just pay for your account'. If that's your opinion, that's fine, but I'm asking if anyone has a good response to my question, not whether or not I should.

A noctis alt can easily pay for itself with salvage, a good refine, passive datacore farming, and a little research/manufacture/trade on the side.

Of course, it takes some time to realize it's full potential and you may or may not get a return on your investment the first month, depending on how much you use it.

Mach/Noctis running missions is good money but boring. With maxed salvaging and the new corp bookmarks, you will be able to salvage much faster than you can mission.

Hulk/anything is boring as hell.

BC/Noctis with a cloak and combat scanner probe combo for ninja'ing hisec wormholes is both fun and profitable.

On a side note, while mining is boring, you can set up a hulk to do semi-afk ice mining while you do anything you want on your main.

internet spaceships

are serious business sir.

and don't forget it

Thanks for the tips. I guess I'll keep her in the noctis for now then and work on manufacturing, but what would be the best manufacturing route to compliment salvaging?

As far as what skills would be the most cost beneficial?

There is far too much to tell about industry and manufacturing to condense into one suggestive post.

The general rule of thumb for building anything is to spreadsheet it yourself and see what you can make. And in my experience: Nine times out of ten a rookie is better off either sitting on their stash or selling the raw materials until they have appropriate skills and a business plan that will make the :effort: worth investing. Of course, you're also free to build things for the sake of building them and actually loosing effective profit in the process.

To make a long story short, see one of the extensive guides on manufacturing and decide if it's worth it to you. You can make more than enough isk to pay your alt off without it.

I find it better to bring a low skill alt in to shoot in a drake, even with meta 4 launchers it makes a difference to the mission run times, and then come back and salvage. But everyone has their own ways of doing things.

While i do enjoy manufacturing side of things, it is also worthwhile to get some basic combat training done for your alt too. Just get production efficiency to 5 divert your training for a while to get him into reasonable l4 ship. You can then get him switch back and forth between mission boat and noctis as initially you will salvage faster than you can complete missions. Unless you get into inventions and t2 construction you really dont need to spend more than few months to be a decent t1 manufacturer. What i do now is missioning in a marauder & a dps ship so i can collect loots while also upping my mission effectiveness using two accounts. I have industry skills trained in both characters so that helps too. Also dont forget to share your standings gain with your alt to better cherry pick missions. Have fun!

If you got two combat capable accounts you can do pretty much anything you imagine.

DED 10/10 plex :)
Level 5 missions

For begining you can start exploring in lowsec, even with low SP and two chars you can do 6/10 with no problem, and would you like seing Corpum A-Type Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane in your loot (1.2 B on contracts)? One of those and you payed yout accounts.

Alos, some level 5 missions give 80k LP, and can be done in 15 mins. If you pull out 1000 ISK/LP, that is 80 M ISK... would that pay your account?

Just some ideas, hope they help...

Sorry if I misprinted, it's from battleclinic, not this site since that's where I originally posted. But here it is:
