I was talking about unanswered petitions; these are petitions that have not received any answer at all yet. There are definitely petitions older then that in our system that have not been fully resolved yet. As I have no idea what your specific petition is about (and I cannot go on a hunt at the request of a forum post, this will have to happen through the petition system) I cannot make any comments on why your petition isn't resolved yet. Most likely it requires a very thorough or special investigation. For example, hacking cases may sometimes take several weeks to fully resolve.

so people need to file petitions to find out the status of their petitions now?

sounds like the runaround to me

Did it ever occur to you that when the GM looked at your petition and see that its about a T2 Railgun "Oh this guy is whining about a module disappearing, lets give him the usual runaround and see if he goes away"

There's an intermittent bug that pops up from time to time where stuff just goes missing from your hangar until the next downtime. Friend of mine has lost a faction fit Machariel at least 3 or 4 times, usually ends up in his hangar the next day before his petitions are gotten to lol

LolLolLolLolLolLolLol

Exactly my idea.

People like the OP are the reason the petitions take so long to be answered in first place.

If the GM department would be sized according to petitions like this it would be bigger then the developer team.

That is unacceptable. Completely and totally unacceptable. Several weeks to fix an issue that was not caused by any fault of my own? I was lucky enough to get a hold of a GM in a chat channel and he informed me that the account was either hacked or associated with a known hacker. So now I have to wait for you guys to sort it out because someone hacked my account?

I cannot comment on your specific case, but let me assure you that these types of cases are incredibly complicated and involve lengthy and complex investigations. Cutting corners in these matters will result in far greater damage to your account and the accounts of all other players that are involved or affected. I know that it is painful and downright frustrating, but where account security is concerned a little patience will save even greater harm.

So I realize investigations can take some time, but with your most recent post, stating there are 60-70 various game masters why does it take so long to look at something as urgent as an account being hacked? The petition initially said it would have to wait for a Senior Game Master to respond, which I never heard from. It's been over 2 weeks now and I still have not heard from the actual teams that are investigating, all I have heard from yourself another GM in game is I have to wait. Wait Wait wait. But no real other information.

What is the reasoning behind this?

just to be clear I fully agree this is the lamest petition ever filed, but I just had to question that GM remark and forgot to flame the OP

GM's job is as repetitive as it gets. They answer hundreds of "How do i move my ship" questions each day, and you can imagine the other repetitive questions they're asked. Of course they give 'canned' responses, every major software support does this.

I had one that really scared me a few months ago too lol but **** happens. They seem to deal with the petitions really well compared to other games i've played

And the reason it takes so long in hacked account cases, is because they need to inspect every account associated with yours as well. They need to trace where all that isk went at each turn, and see if they can recover any of it without ******* over legit players who happened upon your money innocently

It sucks, but this is just another reason to make sure you change your passwords regularly, dont use the same password for other sites/games, and keep your antivirus up to date

The nerd rage is strong in this thread.

It's only a facking game.

Don't bother to move around in your hangar what you can't afford to replace, you knuckleheads.
