This is just a simple idea of making items not look the same that have the same icon just different colors.

Hyperspatial Accelerator - (Red)
Overdrive Injector / Overdrives - (Green/Blue)

Racial Decrypters match the Tools. (Yellow/Green/Blue/Red)

Also Skill Hardwiring plugs are all have the same green hue, just s simple red, yellow, blue I think would be great improvement.

Moon Minerals two Colors Blue or Yellow. Yellow-Orange, Orange, Red and Deep Red to show rarity.

Fullerites and Polymers look great along with gas clouds!

CCP please look at these old icons and give them a little bit of MS PAINT love.

Ideally you want more than a colour differentiation. Because colourblindness is a thing.

Being colorblind is annoying as hell. I support a colorblind assist mode!

The last time icons were touched... well there was an uproar and they were reverted.

People have gotten used to the existing ones.

Sorry, but I don't want EVE to have green, blue, purple and gold blueprints. This isn't {insert any other kindergarten MMO}.

Flair! That's what Eve needs - more flair. Any ship not having at least 15 pieces of flair will be CONCORDed on undocking.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Considering we have Green, Purple, Blue, and Orange/Gold modules, I think you may have already missed the boat on that objection. At least the modules don't glow that color on the ships...

This seems to apply (adding racing stripes):

People also got used to the Moa model, but look how much better CCP can make things.

I don't say anything about blueprints....

But colors or black, grays and white can help others with UI. I'm not calling for a total revamp of everything just the things that look similar to have something that makes it unique.

We have all made the mistake of buying or using something that looks the same. Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane looks similar to a Armor Layering Membrane. A black helmet or a different color hue is a simple fix can assist.
