Drone DPS dropped, have i missed something?

The DPS in a drone only ship i own has dropped by about 25% since the last time i was in it.

What gives? Have i missed some patch notes?

I'm not sure you noticed, but there was a patch. You may want to look at the notes.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

..i asked in the post if it was in some patch notes. From this you can of course (being clever little soldiers) deduce i have read some patch notes during my time in EvE, but also consider that i may have missed some. It's been a long time since i flew the ship so it's quite a span of patches to take into consideration. I generally fly amarr ships with no drones, so again as i'm sure you already realise (clever) i'm unlikely to have noticed any in game drone changes for quite a time also.

So, while i appreciate all the posts re-stating what i already said in the first post i'd appreciate if someone clever could point me in the direction of the actual patch the change happened in. This way i can quickly locate and peruse the ever so important notage.

Thanks man, appreciate it.

The ship in question went from 1011 dps to 772 so it's more like 23% or something. It only does drone dps and has exactly the same drones in it as it had before.

They keep saying drone DPS dropped, but my drones are hitting just as hard as they always have.

So you didn't look at the patch notes. That explains it. You should have looked at the patch notes.

Sentry drone DPS was nerfed a tad. IIRC, sentry drones now require the drone specialization (e.g. Amarr Drone Spec) to do additional damage. I can't be bothered to re-read the patch notes though.

Anyway, i think it's going to come down the the specific drones used. The patch notes say dps goes down due to the bonus from the Drone Interfacing skill, but the loss will be covered by increasing the base damage of most drones.

I can only imagine i'm using drones (not sentry) that have not recieved the dps increase, and so i get much lower dps cus i'v lost half my DI bonus..

Are you using Geckos? All drones except for Geckos had their base damage adjusted to compensate for the DI nerf. Geckos were introduced with their post-patch values already in place, so before the patch they benefited from both the old DI and the improved base damage.
