I am not sure if this is the right forum, so please correct me if not.

I just wanted to say hello. I have heard of this game, but never "pulled the trigger" to join till a couple days ago. What an awesome game! I just wanted to say hello, since I am stuck at work atm, and say sorry, but I am sure I will be asking a ton of questions :P

Anyway, that's all.. for now.. heh

If you have any questions, do ask. In EVE, we like to fatten up the prey before going in for the kill. Better fights and better loot that way.

But yeah, this is definitely the forum section where you should ask questions. We are helpful to anyone with the right attitude (i.e. doesn't try to get the game changed to suit them but instead brings a competitive mindset to it).

Let us know some of the things you want to do in EVE, and we'll give you a few tips.



Some ideas of things you could do (in no order):

- Kill steadily more and more powerful NPCs, while trying to remain hidden from predatory players

- Participate in or lead a roving gang of pirates, hunting targets of opportunity but fleeing stiff resistance

- Masquerade as a roving small gang of pirates, hunting for stiff resistance, then call in overwhelming backup force to whelp anyone that dares attack you

- Infiltrate player corporations, posing as a raw recruit. Search for holes in their security systems, then steal everything you can

- Analyse ship usage patterns, then use this information to buy low and sell high, amassing a personal fortune and dominate tradelanes

- Masquerade as an honest trader, but trick people into buying scam contracts with horrible 'small print'

- Extort players by threatening to blow up their ships unless they give you ISK (or sing songs into Teamspeak)

Excellent input all.

Well, my 2nd full day, so to speak, and I am having a blast. Someone threw like 10 mil in my account, freaked me out.. lol.. so I am up to like 15 mil and a few ships. Life is good.

Working on making money first, and raising my skills. Then, I will be working on learning what types of weapons are best for my play style AND... how to stealth ;)

I was also learning a few tricks about waypoints and escape routes, so will try that this weekend. I know it is only highsec, but better to train where it is safe, for now.

Give me a week and I'll be shooting across the galaxy! ;)

Highsec is only as safe as YOU make it P

Highsec is a target rich environment, so there's plenty of predators who will quite happily relieve you of your stuff given the chance.Pirate

BTW - Is there a way to manipulate the skill queue outside of logging into the game.. iphone app etc?

The only things I find are old posts to apps that no longer exist.

I like EVEGate, and was just curious.. heh...probably not possible, but had to ask ;)

I am looking forward to being off work later this week and being able to play. I got into a corp, not a big one, but they seem like nice folks.
