Just a question; If I were to setup PI into a C1, C2, etc wormhole, do I need to bring my own customs office to export the goods? TIA...

Depends.

If the system hasn't been inhabited for quite a while there's a chance the planets still have Interbus customs offices, which are usable by anyone.

But more than likely it will already have POCOs owned by a current, or past, inhabitant of the wormhole.

Whether or not you can use them will depend on how their owners have set them up. Some leave them open to the public, but most will make them accessable only by standings (so you may be completely locked out of them) or will set a tax rate which you will have to pay whenever exporting PI goods.

For complete control/freedom then you will need to lay siege to the customs offices and replace them with your own.

Or try to contact the former inhabitant of the system and buy the custom offices from them.

Oh yes, or that. Lol

I did that once when one of my corps moved system. We initially planned to take the system by force but ended up opting for the peaceful option of buying it. For this sin Bob cursed us to weeks of highsec islands, almost no anomolies and numerous ship losses.

I'd highly recommend taking the violent option.

Just remember to bring a LOT of torpedos/drones and make sure to have several days worth of beer on hand if you can't field more than a couple battleships/T3 for POCOS bashing!

You really don't want to solobash a Poco. Been there - 0/10 - would never do again.

To answer fully in one place, here are your options:

If there are POCOs there which are accessible to you and the tax rate is acceptable, you're set.

If there are POCOs there which are not accessible to you or the tax rate is unacceptable, you can either (maybe) buy them or bash them as stated elsewhere.

If there are Interbus customs offices, you can either accept the tax rate or bash them down and put up your own. Might take a while to make back the purchase price, though. The good thing about Interbus COs is that they don't reinforce, just explode.

If there are no customs offices, you can launch into orbit, but I think that's the worst case in terms of cost. Might be better to bite the bullet and put up your own.

There is one other option not yet mentioned. Engage mercs to bash the POCOs for you. You might even convince some HS "mercs" to pick up an easy contract like a POCO bash.

A lot of good suggestions in the thread, but another option if you don't mind the unavoidable tax: Make sure your PI-setup includes a link to your command centers, so you can in an emergency send stuff to them and launch. If you didn't take over the POCOs or don't want to, this can be a nice way for a low-effort alt to evade problems if the owners change or turn hostile.

Since the launched containers are randomly deposited near the colony, you're also a lot harder to catch. But since dealing with a lot of launches instead of just one per planet can be quite the chore just do this as an emergency measure. No reason to antagonize the locals before they're trying to lock you out. Lol
