You may want to have your cook shot or your pod goo supplier checked then. Something is messing you up, dear.

It's a genetic issue, I think.Straight

Well... Mister Nauplius is a very special individual who likes to be very vengeful, drink blood, and all around very mean to people like me. Some say it's because he is a Blood Raider, but I've met nicer people that just so happen to eat other people, so that probably ain't it. He's just mean.

With that out of the way, I can answer Miss Death's question, or at least I would if I hadn't been living under a rock. Other than something about some Ishukone thing and the situation over at Caldari Prime, I have absolutely no idea of the geopolitical climate of the four empires prior to my graduation from Pator Tech.

Oh, Mordu's Legion was hiring! Then they stopped hiring and started shooting trespassers. And something about a PLEX bounty for Caldari bad guys. And the Moa stopped being a chicken and became a real bird ship!

I think you just about covered all the important bits there. Big smile

Humanitarian: Hello sweetie. Well, you sure look scrumptious. I think I'll eat you up with some fava beans and a glass of chanti.
Mister Nauplius: Rawr! God has given you to destruction! Watch as I drink your blood in a very unsanitized way and kick a puppy!

Being mean is all about attitude, Mister Nauplius.

So as you can see, Ms. Mariska, this lot of insignificant, mewling, and (worst of all perhaps) completely boring pilots and their manufactured episodes is the complete totality of anything you may have missed in your time doing what must have inherently been much more important.
It's all the sort of thing you've seen a hundred times, and I a thousand.

My answer to your query stands.

Oh! Something did happen! The Cardinal got all old and cranky, then in some sort of age crisis went on a gambling binge with a whole bunch of undesirables, then hosted a lovely party full of heresy, hedonism (yes, I saw that battleship and that counts) and grr.

The Cardinal was even so elevated and venerable about it all that he didn't even show up to the party.

At least that wasn't boring, even if the rest of New Eden mostly seem to be a yawnfest lately.

Mr Naupli doesn't really look 'mean', or 'evil'. He kinda look more 'confused'.

Mr. Nauplius, it is not the first place, where you say, that the Brutor's blood will give strength to the Chosen.
If this is not the correct place to discuss it, please just link where it was said originally, so we could continue there, but for now, I will give reply here.

In the biology upon crossing genes are chosen randomly. This means blood of Brutor can give you strength of the Brutor, or leave your own strength.
But it isn't the problem. Nothing wrong in this...

But what is wrong, is that instead of Brutor's strength their blood can give you Brutor's intellect.
I wouldn't want mine to be replaced by... that!

Why? It would be a rather substantial improvement.

EDIT: And all snark and kidding aside, you're aware that many of the greatest artists, poets, and musicians from the Tribes are Brutor, yes? That they are the most philosophical, inward-looking, truly deep people I have ever known?

Stereotypes are funny. They usually do nothing but make the person depending on them look... well, rather like you, Diana.

Okay, when I was trying to reason with Mr. Nauplius and find mistakes in his approach to save your people, you, instead of helping. just degraded to personal insults.
By doing this and talking about stereotypes, you just "confirm" that stereotype.

You know, if I was really into stereotypes, I should be an Achuran scientist, who would be poking all days to stupidity of Sebiestor scientists.

I can recommend you one thing, to think about things before saying them, then, maybe, stereotypes about minmatar intellect won't be applied to your people so often.

The strength of the Brutor is a spiritual gift granted by God on the occasion of the sacrifice of a Brutor. It does not matter whether the Brutor being sacrificed is in fact stronger than the Chosen sacrificing him. The strength of the Chosen is not replaced with the strength of the Brutor; rather, the strength of the Chosen is augmented by the grace of God when the Chosen sacrifice a Brutor.

I can see how this all can be confusing. The Blood Raider Covenant with its advanced medical technology may take a more literal, biological approach in these matters and thus be more selective in the quality of harvested blood, seeking out blood whose donor attributes exceeds those of the recipient in some measurable, scientific way. I am not a member of the Blood Raider Covenant and do not have access to such technology. My approach is more spiritual. I am obeying a Revelation from God to Sacrifice Brutor, Sebiestor, and Vherokior as I revealed in Chapter 3 of the Book of Bloodletting.

You're not even joking. What with all those ridiculous tropical rainforest habitats, I'm seriously unsurprised they wanted to head for Orbit.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.
