Destroying POS's and Structures in WH Space

Saw nothing relevant on a forum search.

So I recently moved into a hole with a dead stick (medium control tower). I gathered up a couple of Domis to kill off the dead pos. I started by targeting some modules, plowed through their shields and armor only to get stopped at structure. With a bit of research I found out that when a pos is active, modules gain 99% resists to structure. So I targettng the pos. Though I'm doing full damage, the shields won't budge. Is there something I don't know about destroying pos's in wh space?

Lol.

Why don't you look up a couple of things and then report back. Think of yourself as a school boy doing a book report.

Look up how much shields a POS has.
Look up what resists it has.
Calculate the ehp of the POS in shields.
Look up your own damage.
Divide the EHP of the POS by your damage.

Report back how long it will take you to kill the POS.

Or you can just say what WH system you are in and I will come help you personally.

if high-class get a dread, if low class suck it up and stay there FOR HOURS

also med has like what, 20M shields? So 20.000.000/1000 => 20.000*1.2 because of regen, so, about 24k seconds, or about 7 hours for a single 1k DPS battleship (cap stable domi with no tank, disgusting but quite accurate math butchering). The more ships you get, the better it will be for you. Bring friends.

EDIT: Hole effects do not apply to structures and sleepers, just in case you're in a pulsar.

...dear god.

I saw a 99% resist on the pos's hull, please tell me that isn't real.

Ever wonder why people bash them with dreads? j/k the 99% hull resists only apply to anchored pos mods.

doesn't the pos blow up when hull is damaged?

Of course, just like everything else, it blows up when the hull is 100% damaged Roll

not for the pos what is real is the regen remember to do the math on that total shield / regen time is base shield regen then multiply that number by 2.5 I believe for the peak regen may want to use and that is assuming no active shield hardeners as you indicated a dead tower

Take your tower down and tell nullseccers there is a tech moon in there. Whe they finish the bash, kill them.

why's a dead stick bother you so much? unless there are no other moons available then just leave it there, it'll either sit completely dormant or bring a bit of fun for you when its owners decide they want to move back in, then you can always bash it when you have the correct equipment in the WH to do so

To get rid of a dead stick, I'd suggest choosing an empty clone and a vexor with some sentries. After dt, close down your hole, place multiple vexors around the POS in question and start shooting it.

Once you're back from Uni/Work, update your clone(s) or even be done with it :D

You should also scrap together something like 2.5k dps or there is no suffficiently long shift to make this viable.
