This Sunday, at an undisclosed high sec system, I will be unloading roughly 100 frigates in various safe spots through out the system. In each frigate there is the chance of an item fitted to the ship or in the hull to be had. In all the frigates there will be roughly 1 Bil isk worth of prizes.

There will possibly be a special frigate or two ejected out there as well.

The frigates will all be of the same type to avoid confusion with locals and scanning ships.

If there is a large enough turnout for this event I will do it more often as I get more prizes available.



More information will be available the closer we get to the date.

All of the ships and mods have been purchased and are ready to disperse! I will announce in what system the event will take place at 1400 Eve Time on Sunday, June 15th. It will be in a system located in The Forge region, so if you plan on participating, this is the region to best be in to make it to the system before anyone else.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to Eve Mail me or post to this thread as I will be monitoring it until the day of the event.

Only 12 hours till the location if reveled! All is ready but for the ships to be released and the players to get iskies! :D

Edit: They will all be Minmatar frigates, so make sure your Minmatar Frigate skill is trained up enough to fly the ships home!

System has been discovered, moving 100 ships is taking a bit longer than I thought it would! lol However, location will be released in 10-15 minutes! lol

Ships will continue to be released in safe spots for probably the next half hour, however, as this is taking much longer than I though, I'll just release the system now. :)

The location is Sakenta. 4 jumps from Jita! Enjoy the probing!

A few people here probing, plenty of ships still in space. Roughly 30 still in space with more being ejected as we speak!

I had fun. Thanks to ElCholo and others who helped set this up.

I scanned down and brought home 28 Rifters (2 were Krusual Edition). Most were empty* but some had some loot and a couple had some very good loot. Here's a appraisal of my loot after scanning for about 2 hours:

190m, not bad!

From talking in local, I saw another guy got a Dramiel and his total was closer to 540m.

* I suspect some of the rifters I found had been found be someone else, but when they saw it was empty, they left it as a decoy for other probers (like me).

A couple times, as I got to the Rifter, someone else was there too. The first time, I got it first. The next time, I couldn't board it because he had it locked. I didn't know locking a ship prevented boarding (learned something new today).

Several times, I scanned a Rifter down, docked, and warped out in my pod only to find empty space too.

Very nice event, although the turn out was a little small, but I guess it is for the 1st time.

I took home the Dram & 2 x Krusual edition rifters & 560mil in loot Big smileBig smile

I would suggest using different types of ships to add a bit more confusion int the mix.

The event was really great! It was fun, and good sportsmanship between fellow explorers too. Some data from the event and results! (not 100% accurate)

Some suggestions:

Better advertising: For the next time, try to announce the event 7 days before it starts. Also try to contact with more EVE sites and media to reach more people. For example: Exploration channel in game, Jita, Amarr, Rens, Dodixie's local (n-not spam at all!), evenews24.com, themittani.com, Reddit, etc.

More rewards: More... give me more... give me moreee. Some ideas for some extra awards (and of course you need to add a few lonely and loveless Male Dancers to some ships)

Scan 'Em All
Pilot with more total ships retrieved (easily verifiable with just a ss of the hangar)

Lucky Luke
The most lucky pilot (luck factor= total ships retrieved / ISKs in ship/cargo )

Poor Bastard
Pilot with the worst luck factor

Spice it up!: A few things to twist the event a little bit. Like somebody suggest, some kind of escalations will be nice. Putting bookmarks inside some ships 2-3 jumps away for a "maybe" jackpot there, to make people choose whether to go or not.
