By the way, what separates a bad idea from a good idea are the merits of the argument for or against, not whether or not someone is offended by it.

Hear Hear

Like nuclear power, eating meat or solving the economic and social problems of an entire country through a process of downsizing.

Actually, I don't know if you realised or not, but you pointed out a flaw in my argument. I was being a little general there, and should have been more specific in pointing out that this is in relation to ideas expressed on these forums. When it comes to nuclear power, for example, the merits of the argument need to be addressed scientifically. Rhetoric can be used to make an argument for or against nuclear power seem meritorious when scientifically, it is not.

Edit: which is why, in terms of EVE, ideas from newer players with less experience tend to be terribad, but not always.

Totally agreed, I was more going for the "I understand and agree, here is something a little edgy which is humourous to some to help illustrate the point".

Also, my explaining that is also only to underline how the lack of emphasis in a post can be misconstrued, and does not always equate to calling anyone a dingus.

"Yea, some dude came in and was normal for first couple months, so I gave him director." - Sean Dunaway

"A singular character could be hired to penetrate another corps space... using gorilla like tactics..." - Chane Morgann

Imo, being offended by someone else's stated opinion dose not make your own, or your disagreeing with theirs any more valid than the next man's.

Or for that matter someone elses apathy on the subject

5. Trolling is prohibited.

Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.
