Ore and Mineral transport...

Not really a question more advice I guess.

I regularly hear people mentioning that the Orca makes a great hauler for ore and minerals (and other stuff), which is true.

However it requires a lot of skills and a lot of cash. I recently discovered that the Miasmos has a pretty decent 42,000m3 capacity Ore hold and 550m3 hold that can be expanded. Also the Kryos has a similiar size Mineral hold of 43,000m3 along with a 550m3 hold that could be expanded.

They both have very low skill requirements and can be bought for just over 1million ISK

I have been playing eve for almost a year and never realised this, so hopefully this may help miner/manufacturers in transporting supplies.

NB: The Miasmos can also hold gas vapor and ice blocks in its "ore" hold as well, which is very useful considering the size of the product.

The specialized haulers, particularly the Gallente ones, are fabulous for industrialists/miners. I don't bother with expanding the regular cargoholds and instead fit a Damage Control and agility mods in the lows with a shield buffer tank in the mids.

The problem that the Kryos has is its pretty weak tank. It's very easy to stuff enough minerals in to make it a profitable gank target. Miasmos not as much, since ores are lower ISK/m3
