Back in the day, doublers with open-ended donation requirements would usually send you back 2x your donation if it was small, to try to draw you in. All the doublers I see nowadays seem to have 50 mllion ISK minimums, which either says something about the economy or about the players falling for the scam. Or both.

Seriously though don't give ISK to random people and expect it back.

It's not so bad. There's alot of nice people selling plex relatively cheap. I even seen one go for 400 million. Just make sure you have an extra plex in your hanger or the contract won't go through. I've never figured out why that is, exactly....

i'd actually count this more as a bug than a scam though: the contract will go through even if you dont have the plex in your hangar or anywhere (from what i heard anyway), so you pay the isk, get the plex, and immediately lose the plex again as you are supposed to pay a plex. The game just checks the isk payment, and then does the contract stuff in the wrong order or something like that :p

Alot still do, I know i made my first billion going between trade hubs looking for new "isk doublers" sending them 5-10mil to "verify theyre honesty", replying with a "thanks" and moving on to the next in chat. took me a couple months, but this was back when plex was 350mil abouts so it was a decent amount, especially since i was subbed not plexxing.

I agree with the OP. I think ISK-doubling scams are terrible.

I run a completely legit ISK-halving service instead.

Straight up, no tricks, no fancy rules, no bonus room.

Send me any amount of ISK. I will immediately send you half of it back, no questions asked.
That probably sounds like a bad deal. But don't worry. Whatever you lose in profit, I will just make up in volume.

Jita. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Except for Amarr, Dodixie, Hek and Rens.

The best thing any experienced player can do is warn new players about this. Well, that and educate them in the use of the "block" feature of the chat system.

Well 1. it's legal and they need to really go to the extreme to get busted by CCP, so whatever... but 2. they hide in station so you cant kill them if you like. Seems to go against what EVE is about... hiding behind mechanics of the game to 100% avoid pvp. It's chicken **** to be hiding in a station spamming the whole system like some ******* barny the dinosaur mmo.

I'm in it for the money

Sigh.

This is what New Eden deserves for having banned the only legitimate ISK doubler.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Look for crashes and many complaints about not getting into to the system from traders, scammers, and POS defenders and attackers.
It is going to awesome.

There are no mine-able belts or PI planets or POCOs permitted in the Jita system. Hence I would be surprised if they allow POS. Maybe they will. Have to wait and see I suppose.

Yeah pretty sure the point in the "buy a PLEX and pay with ISK plus a PLEX back" scam is that you do not need one in inventory, the contract will give back the PLEX you just bought plus the ISK.

So many stupid comments. Eve intelligence test? Oh yeah. Back in my time when i started playing online games 98 with Ultima Online we played the game, that was fun. Now what is fun in having your alts stay in jita and talk **** in chat all day long? How can that be fun? Talking about intelligence, tons of scam copies its always the same - scammers are not even intelligent enough to have own ideas.
I as a casual eve player through the past 3 years on and off didnt ever fall for such stupid scams and i seriously dont even understand how ppl can be so stupid to not even read contracts "you will pay, you will get" correctly. However, as a newbie before and a casual player now and someone who knows strong gaming communites from old times i find this jita chat or this scammer mentality absolutly stupid and in the end i laugh because somehow it makes me giggle that ppl can be satisfied and are happy with doing **** like that and reading their **** in forums, like they got a boner from that playstyle is hilarious. I give you a clap on your shoulder.
This really makes me want to go to fanfest someday just to know how those ******** ppl look like in real life.

They are most likely alts which means they're not just sat in JIta and other hubs and doing nothing else.

Isk is important after all, you can fund your gaming with it via PLEX. Because it's important in this game you will get people trying to make it anyway they can.

Why would anyone think someone would double their isk. Out of the goodness of their hearts?

Scams are easy to avoid. One reason people fall for contract scams is because they think they're getting a good deal so rush the deal because they're worried if they don't someone else will get their first. People are their own worst enemies sometimes.

What I hate more than the isk doubler spam, is the "i want isk" website spammers. Seeing as you can make a website link look like an item or contract, it really sucks knowing that any link I click could wind up making someone money, just by simply clicking on it.

What business of yours is it how other people enjoy their games? I don't enjoy playing Call of Duty, but I don't run around going "OMG COD PLAYERS YOU ARE SO LAEM!!!!!". If people want to sit around scamming all day, they can do. If stupid people fall for it, that's their problem.

I would image these people look considerably less ******** than you do. I mean lets face it, they can actually form readable paragraphs of text.
